Do you choose the names for your children, or do you know them deep down already?

A storey for you that my client wanted to share! I think its amazing!!! Check it out!
Listening to the name “within”… The story of naming my children

Naming my children has never been difficult; I’ve never gone “looking” for a name the names always just find me. Of course I had names before falling pregnant that I loved, but somehow they never fit and eventually at some point a name will come to me and I just know that that’s the name my child is meant to have.

My first child I was so excited I had names already picked from the minute I POAS.However as time went on I knew these were not the names she was meant to have.I had originally picked her name to be Bonnie-Leigh, However once I actually knew she was definitely a girl (which I was sure of from the start anyways) I just knew the name I had always liked was not her name. I didn’t panic and go searching I just waited and finally while sitting in the school bus (yes yes I was in my last year of school), heard a name drift down the bus and it was “Ella”and from there it clicked her name was meant to be Ella-Rose Bonnie… It fitted perfect and from that day I was sure she had picked her name! The day of her birth I realised her name was still incomplete and my Nan called. So her name became Ella-Rose Bonnie Delore. Perfection.

My second child my husband decided he loved the name Kye and I agreed it was nice. But I knew this time that the name would come to me I just had to be patient. From the moment I POAS I just KNEW he was a boy. No doubt what so ever in my mind; so I continued to mull Kye over but it just didn’t feel right. About midpoint in the pregnancy name popped into my head. And instantly I just knew that that was his name.No second guessing. From then on he was Wyatt William Wade. And I tell you it’sthe perfect name for him.

I recently birthed my third child at home in a birthing pool, I believe my son has a strong connection to water so his name fits him to perfection. This pregnancy was a lot harder on my body. I found it harder to connect to the gender of the baby unlike the previous times. I thought it was another boy but part of me was still hoping girl. However I knew right from the start regardless of the gender my babies name was River. It was the ONLY name I ever considered once I was pregnant. While TTC I had a few names I liked but as soon as the egg was fertilised I had an instant connection with the name River. I had BFP dreams at 2 and 4 dpo and from then my connection to the name “River” occurred. I don’t even know where or how or why the name came to me. I just knew that was the baby’s name.Eventually I did find out he was a boy. The thing that amazes me even more is that in the end after weeks of pre-term labour and pre labour my son was born at 40 weeks on “Worlds Rivers Day”. I had no idea of this until a friend brought it to my attention. How that for is meant to be.

Sometimes if you are patient and listen you will get a feeling for the name your child is meant to have. I see a lot of people who have trouble finding a name and I always say breathe and listen then name just may find you J

Move on over, there is a new pansey in town

I know that most of you will remember about the pansey storey from many years ago. For those of you new to my blog and have not heard this storey, I will give you the "short' version.

Ever since I was little, a purple wild pansey would grow wild in our grass. As a child I loved this flower and it drove my dad crazy. You cant purchase this flower in the store, it ONLY grows wild. (its really tiny). It would grow ONLY in the grass. My dad would do everything he could to remove it, and yet it would be back. When I was 18 my mother, my sister and I moved into a different area of town because my parents separated (and later divorced). The house we moved into, later that year, the same wild purple pansey started growing underneath the holly tree. Our landlord at the time asked us why we would bother planting the pansey underneath the holly tree (its prickly for those of you not familiar). After explaining that we did not, he mentioned its NEVER been there before.

I even got a tattoo of the same purple flower on my lower right hip. I really feel that this flower is a symbol of good luck, and that its from my grandmother on my dad's side (who died when my dad was only 16). I have talked to my dad about this, who also agrees that he believes its from her as it was her favorite flower as well.

I have lived in various cities throughout the many years I have been alive, and in each house, in the spring/summer, no matter where I have been, the purple pansey has shown up, and each time the landlord has told me it was not there before.

Since being in the house we are now (since July 5 years ago) Every year its come back. The same flower, same location (down the dirt path beside our driveway). Its my favorite flower and I always talk to it (Yes I pat it and tell it hello lol). Well, a week ago, walking to my van I notice a pansey in the grass, and not in its "normal" location. This flower is DEFINITELY trying to stand out.. and you know what, its not the exact same. This one has a YELLOW face. I have NEVER seen this type before, and the first impression that came to my mind... this one is from my mom (passed march 8, 2010)

I love paneys. (top is the "regular" pansey and below is the new one)

Sometimes, all you need is time

A client of mine wrote me a very nice email that I wanted to share with you. Her storey is one that is shared by a few of my clients and sometimes shows you that patient and hope is sometimes what you need.

Hi Cheri just wanted to let you know through all my frustration and years of trying you told me I would get pregnant in February about three years ago.
Well you were right and I owe you an apology as I sent you an email that wasn't so nice. Patience is not a virtue of mine but I did want to say thank you.

I asked if she would share her success storey with everyone in order to help provide hope for those of you in similar situations and she agreed!

Well as far as secrets um I remember you telling me to picture a baby in my belly and to focus on being positive. For so long I was so focused on the fact that I wasn't getting pregnant that this was a hard concept for me. You have been right for me two times before as I can recall so when you had told me February date of conception and it didn't happen after two years I got frustrated. Being positive was not in my vocabulary as I saw pregnant women around me all the time it bitterer me and I am one of the most happy go lucky people you would find. Well I started to put into practice what you told me after my mother in law past away unexpectedly. Thought to myself (well me feeling sorry for myself is not working for me) so I would sit in the tanning bed or sun let the sun beat on me and picture God putting a baby in my stomach. The moment I changed my attitude and started to be positive boom after five years I got a positive test just like you said I would.

So as I have mentioned in my readings, most times my readings will connect to the current year the reading was given or the year after. It does not usually go past that time frame, but on occasion does. I can not control who that happens to, nor will they give me the indication that the connection will happen further into the future. So, all you need is time, love, patience, and hope. Perfect receipe for making a baby! (okay, among other things!)

An amazing storey

I asked one of my clients to share her storey. She said that creating her vision board has been a rewarding experinece, allowed her more motivation and basically got her life back on track. Shes in a happier place. Shes agreed to share her storey in the hopes that those of you in a similar position to what she was going through, might find this helpful as well.

This has been copied/pasted from her email (with her permission of course!) If you have any questions, you can email me cheri22@gmail.com and I can put you in touch with her... or you can post in the comments below as I know she does read this blog and knows her storey is about to be posted:)

My vision board experience.

Last week I had to deal with something that I’ve been putting off for months/years. When I finally dealt with it, I went into a deep depressed downward spiral. I decided to get a reading done about the situation. While I waited for my response, I ended up going to work the next day and started to cry in my co-workers office. He asked me if I was ok and all I did was shook my head and said no, my spirit is broken. I had something I was dealing with and held it inside for such a long time. I called my friend and we talked for 2 hours and I cried and I told her my situation. I took the next day off from work (Friday)and stayed in bed all day. I was such in a state that the thought of eating food, made me want to vomit. I had no desire to do anything. It was one of those moments where if I had the energy I would have pulled a Brittany and shaved my head and grabbed an umbrella and beat the window of a SUV. (look that up if you have no idea what I’m talking about.) But I think we all know the feeling that I’m referring to. I read Cheri’s blog and saw the vision board post. I was still waiting for my reading and said to myself….that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to make my vision board. So the next day I got up out of
bed grabbed a magazine and started searching and cutting. I didn’t have any more so I went to the local bookstore and bought 4 magazines. I grabbed magazines where I knew there would be pictures and sayings that I wanted to put on my board. Went to the art store bought 2 poster boards and a glue stick. I then went to the lady who gives me my reiki treatments (she also owns a store).
I came in she saw my face and was like whats wrong. Two weeks ago I had a reiki treatment done and afterwards my reiki master said, the weight gain that you are experiencing (I gained 10 lbs.) is because you are fearful about something and you need to deal with that your body is protecting yourself. So I lied and gave her some lame story. So I came in to tell her my truth. I ended up staying for 2 hrs and we talked and I cried and I
told her about my vision board. She said that was a great idea and that she was going to make one too.
So I ended up buying some reiki charged candles (crystal journey) they smell great too, and came home lit my candles and cut out all these wonderful sayings and pictures. I felt like a little kid again, and the
board gave me a purpose again. When I was done, I had a great big smile on my face. I taped it up on the back of my bedroom door. I look at it and read it every day before I go to work and before I go to bed/meditate. Cheri’s reading came in and she said I’m on the right path now. I responded back telling her how the vision board really helped me turn my attitude and mindset around. She then asked me if anyone (friends/family) had noticed the shift in my energy because she could tell from a matter of days the change.
So this is what I noticed I have noticed that once I made a change in my thinking, and my life, it seemed like everyone followed. Right away people (strangers, men and women) smiled said hi, held doors open....the one woman I wasn't getting along with at work (we haven’t spoke to each other
or even looked at each other for about 3 months) I walked up to her and told her why I had been feeling the way i was about her and the way she treated me and she hugged me and said I still love you........
When I meditate before bed, I can feel in the pit of my stomach this energy, it feels light, it feels uplifting so I can actually feel my body taking on this new positive energy....and I tell myself I deserve all this good stuff.......I deserve it.....everyone deserves good stuff......and now it's my time.!!!!! Before it was this heavy energy in the pit of my stomach, the doubt, the negative feelings……..I can feel each day I’m
getting stronger or more powerful. I know this post is long but not only did I make the board, I also get reiki treatments done which also can get that negative energy out of your body and make everything lighter and you can reclaim your personal power if you lost it. (check that out if you are looking for more ways to clear your energy)
So make a board, have fun with it, put whatever you want on it, and
keep adding to it. Relax and say thank you for whatever is on your board and remember things can happen and they will happen because you deserve it………..we all deserve it.

Another option out there?

I recently got an email from my client talking about embryo adoption. I had NEVER heard of this before and thought that perhaps some of you have not either and would like to hear about other options. Here is my clients story.

One thing I’ve learned is that there are many different paths to parenthood. Our own personal journey led my husband and I toward embryo adoption.
For us, adoption was always a backup plan. Four years ago- before seven IUI’s, two IVFs and a small fortune in meds- we explored our thoughts and resolved that if we can’t get pregnant, we will adopt.

We felt that our second round of IVF might be our last hope of having our own biological child. We started with two fresh cycles, but both failed. So our last FET with two leftover embryos from the previous cycles truly seemed like our absolute last chance. It resulted in a pregnancy, but then sadly a miscarriage after nine weeks.

According to our original plan, our next step was the adoption agency. We had already selected an agency about a year ago, and had learned as much as we could about the adoption process.
But during this very sad time, my acupuncture doctor suggested embryo adoption. I had heard of that option before, but as with other possible options, I had never really considered it.
While lots of my friends in my support group were discussing donor eggs, I really was not drawn to that. And surrogacy never came to my mind either, maybe because of the enormous expensive. We agreed that we are not going to have a child and be completely broke.

But somehow embryo adoption sounded more and more interesting to us as we looked into it. If you know anything about regular adoption, then you know that it can be very expensive, with lots of legal requirements.

Embryo adoption -as presented to us- seemed like a much easier route. Basically, couples that have had IVF treatments often have left over embryos that are kept preserved in cold storage. If they conceive without using all of their stored embryos, they can choose to donate their leftovers for adoption.

For people in our situation, this process bypasses many of the legal hurdles of full adoption. And often- not always- there is only the cost of the frozen embryo transfer and legal fees. Altogether, it can be up to ten times less expensive than adoption!

Not all IFV clinics have an embryo adoption program, but we were lucky enough to be referred by my acupuncture doctor to one that does. While some embryo adoption programs can be a lot more complicated than others, on the whole it’s less complicated than the full adoption process.

I had accepted that my being pregnant was not as important as having a child of our own no matter how we got there. Still, I find the prospect of being pregnant and carrying our adopted child to be a major plus of embryo adoption. Of course I know that there is no guarantee of success, but as ever, there is always hope.

Some dreams, I wish I could forget!

This morning, my youngest woke me up at 6am which is okay since i got to sleep the entire night (whoo hoo!), but I woke up from a horrible dream. In it, my mom was alive, which is nice, but my sister had died. According to my mom from getting too mad! I know that sounds silly! Then in the dream, my one friend died too.. It was just horrible and I was so upset! I woke up this morning, and called my sister. No answer. Not like her at all. You get that uneasy feeling. I then call my friend.. she does not answer. This is starting to drive me nuts! After 10 minutes I finally heard from both of them, but it drove me nuts that they did not answer the first time.

I do not like dreams like those. It was nice to see/hear my mom in that dream, as thats certianly one thing I miss, but the rest of the dream can go away!

This week is going to be busy for me. I have someone coming to clean the carpets tomorrow downstairs, as my daughter turns 7 on sunday and we are having her birthday party here. Shes going to have her friends play on the trampoline and we bought a bouncy castle (it was on sale for 60.00!!!!) So should be busy but fun.

I also have to take my youngest today into the dr. Her stitches that are supposed to be dissolving ones are NOT coming out! There are some of them still in there so he is going to take them out today.

I also have a client that has offered to share their ttc journey and I thought you might all like it!

Well, I have 2 boys. With my first I tried for 2 1/2 years and was met with nothing but heartache. I DID conceive several times but once was a heterotopic pregnancy (twins: one ectopic, one in uterus) and both were lost and this was followed by 2 miscarriages. I even lost my oldest son's twin.
With my 2nd son I wasn't even trying. In truth, I wasn't really "trying" when I got my BFP for my oldest because I'd have surgery for endometriosis 1 week before I got pg!

Since I wasn't seeking pregnancy either time I wasn't as cautious about what I put in my body and the only thing I can think of that made the difference is that I was drinking the nights I conceived both of them(My oldest was conceived on New Year's Eve). Now, I'm NOT advocating drinking to get pg and I'm not saying "Oh, relax and it'll happen," but, for me, perhaps reducing my stress and worry allowed the little one to burrow down in the right place and let my body make the hormones it needed to sustain the pregnancy! All I know is I'm truly blessed and hope that everyone else who's seeking a baby will be to!

J.

I think that what this client is really trying to point out, that sometimes not thinking about ttc, and being focused on other aspects of life will sometimes help your body to relax at the same time as your mind and make trying to conceive easier.

Something else to try?

I posted awhile ago asking for stories of inspiration for everyone on my blog. So for those of you who have emailed me with your storey thank you! I have not replied to everyone as of yet, but please know that I have recieved it and will be in touch! Here is the first storey of one of my clients on what worked for them!

I also wanted to share that I did get a BFP last May, using Soy in the same matter you would use clomid. That worked for me even when Clomid did not. I think it's worth looking into and trying if your not O'ing. Sadly I did lose that baby, because it was in my tubes. I'm 6dpo and of my 1st cycle after a long break. Hopefully I have some good news to share soon!~

A.J.

I asked my client to explain more on how she used this suppliment and this is what she provided.

With the soy, I take it cycle day 3-7 and I take about twice the mg as I took when I O'd using clomid. So I take 120mg of soy and I take it at night. So just like you would take clomid.

If anyone has any questions about what she has done, please feel free to write a comment in this section and perhaps she can either reply if she is able or you can email me and I will try and get the information for you.

Ready.....Set.....INSPIRE!

I always love getting clients to update me when they have conceived. I also love clients providing their secrets and tips on what worked for them and how long they were trying to conceive before they got their bfp. I think its great that we can all connect together and share this wonderful information, with the hopes that its going to help someone else figure it out and get pregnant! I have one storey here right now to share with you all, and another that shes going to make me wait until November to share. She wants to have the storey from start to finish and having the feelings of holding this much anticipated baby in her arms! So for any of you who have gotten your bfps, past, present or future, and want to share your storey please do! Email me at cheri22@gmail.com and put in "INSPIRATION" in the subject line. I actually provide a free bypass reading (value 10.00) in exchange for your storey. I will edit out your name if you prefer to remain anon.

Hiya Cheri

Many thanks for you reply & I love the girl prediction! But am just so thrilled to be pregnant that a healthy baby is all that is important. I hope you are doing as well as can be expected after your bereavement x

It has taken us 3 and a half years to get to a positive pregnancy test & I know there are many more hurdles. We had breaks for my back operation and my husband was ill at the beginning of 2009.

What is incredible and cannot merely be a coincidence is that I have got pregnant twice the cycle in which I had a HyCoSy! Thankfully my tubes were clear but obviously seem to have benefited from a spring clean!

Just to give you TMI this is what we did:-

HyCoSy on cd8

Had sex 6 days in a row from cd13 to cd 18, Positive ovulation tests were on CD14 & 15

Used Zestica instead of Pre-Seed, it's cheaper & less gooey than Pre-Seed, can get it on eBay

Always missionary position & made sure climaxed after hubby, used toys if necessary!

Legs in air for at least half an hour & tried not to pee for as long as possible

Have been eating loads of chocolate & Yakult (probiotic drink)

Had almost given up!

Hope that helps. Really think the HyCoSy was the key for me.

Best wishes

H.B.

Another successful pregnancy!!!

One of my clients agreed to share her storey! Please read and know that even when things like its just not going to happen... anything is possible! Don't give up hope!

Dear Cheri:
I am writing to let you know that after a year and 1/2 of trying, six months of infertility meds and countless tears, my husband and I found out we are pregnant. I was diagnosed with PCOS in January of 2009 after I could not get pregnant for 6 months and my period was very irregular. I began infertility meds- Clomid and Ovidrel- in March and continued taking them until August. When they didn't work I decided to give it a break and start IVF in January 2010.
During this time I continued reading your blog, followed your advice and started your positive thinking techniques which included watching "The Secret" and writing positive things on my mirror and reading them to myself daily (or every time I walked by). On my mirror I hung four little sticky notes which read: "I will get pregnant in 2009", "I will have a baby in 2010", "I will be a mom because with God all things are possible", "IVF will work for me".

I kept thinking of having a baby, I began to relax during intercourse instead of stressing out whether it will work or not and I began praying and talking to God. On December 7th I woke up with cramps and terribly sore breasts. I thought that my period was about to come and it didn't. I complained of the soreness (I never had sore breasts as a symptom of a period before) to my best friend who is currently 7 months pregnant and she told me to test. I laughed and said it's impossible, 6 months of infertility meds didn't work, what would make her think that I was pregnant naturally?
Yet, I ran home on my lunch break and tested- 1st test- positive faint line, 2nd test- positive darker line, 3rd test positive plus sign, 4th test- a digital read PREGNANT. I could not believe my eyes- I cried like a little girl for a few minutes and after I stopped shaking I called my doctor who had me come in for blood work the next day. Blood results confirmed the pregnancy and I am today 7 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

I hope that anyone who reads my story doesn't give up hope. Positive thinking techniques work (and trust me it was hard for me to think positively @ 1st- I am a "the glass is half empty" kind of gal) but Cheri's blogs really helped me a lot, I learned not to take "no" for an answer and I learned that with a little hope, faith and positive thinking anything is possible.

I want to thank you Cheri for all the emails and words of encouragement you have sent my way. I really believe that God wanted me to learn to think positively and not be so impatient and in the end I got the best reward.
I hope that I have brought hope and encouragement with my letter. I hope everyone will keep me and my baby in your prayers and I will do the same for all of you.

Kate B.

A storey of inspiration for those of you who suffer from PCOS

a client of mine was so nice to share her lovely journey and secrets with all of you! She too suffered from PCOS and just got her awesome bfp recently! I asked her to please share how they did it, so that other people might try it and see if it will work for them. She agreed and here is her information!

Well, we used an ovulation microscope instead of ovulation tests (I used the Fertile Focus one from FertileFocus.com) because I always got almost positive ovulation tests, like many women with PCOS… It showed me full ferning the day I ovulated.

We also did the “baby dance” every day from day 10 of my cycle through to day 16, to make sure we had our bases covered.

And when we did the baby dance, we used Pre-Seed fertility friendly lubricant. It simulates egg-white cervical mucus, something that can be reduced by the Clomid (mine was fine, I actually had more than normal, but we wanted to be sure!)

So between timing everything so perfectly, the Clomid to make me ovulate, the Ferning Microscope to tell me when I was going to ovulate accurately, and using Pre-Seed – we got our BFP!

I’m terrified of twins, though… I want to use a midwife for a home birth, and that is impossible with twins – I’ll have to go to the hospital, and pretty much book a c-section date. As someone that has never even had stitches or a broken bone, I’m terrified of being stuck with a Cesarean!

BTW, you can also post a link to my chart at FF if anybody wants to see it. It shows all of my symptoms, the timing of our Baby Dancing, use of pre-seed, how the ovulation microscope worked – everything! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/25caeb

No problem about letting you share. I feel so, so lucky to finally be pregnant, anything that can give hope to people that are in the situation I was in, I’m glad to do :)

I just wanted to say.....

THANK YOU.. to everyone.. whether you are my client using my bypass predictions or requesting a free prediction. Or just happen to be a reader on my blog. I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I LOVE helping people and you have all given me this opportunity to do just that. This truly makes me happy.

Decembers monthly special will be a free one again so keep checking back... Not going to tell you when its going to be announced so you will just have to keep checking back! lol.

I have made some wonderful connections with everyone as well, and love to hear your stories of your journey of ttc.

Speaking of stories, here is one of my clients journeys to help give you hope on your own ttc journeys!

Ok, I'll try to be brief....
In 2005 my husband and I decided to start a family...not as easy as we thought. We decided to seek the help of an outside source since we had no luck. The Fertility Specialist ruled me out right away but told us some really bad news about my husband. He had no sperm...NONE!! That was hard to hear. They told him to see a reproductive urologist, who did give us hope. He prescribed a round of HCG injections 3 times a week and my husband had to do this for a good 6-8 months before we conceived my son naturally. That was great because we though his sperm count would only get high enough to qualify me for Intrauterine insemination (IUI). I gave birth to our first son in December of 06.
Now, almost 3 years later, we have decided to add another addition to the family. Since we already know the situation, I didn't waste any time. We tried for one month and nothing. I quickly made an appointment for my husband to see the urologist again to see where we were at sperm wise. In the meantime, I was using the clear blue easy fertility monitor that a friend gave me. I was due to ovulate about a week and a half before our appointment and I though, no harm in trying. We only did it twice, right around the time the egg popped up on the monitor screen. I wasn't that serious about it because I figured my husband had a low count.
So, when we finally saw the doctor, he gave us not so good news...my husband had a sperm count of only 2 million which is so low, it's almost considered infertile. He prescribed the injections again and said come back in 3 months. I asked him if we should bother trying right now and he said that I would have to be "one fertile lady" for me to get pregnant with a count that low. Well, we hadn't even filled the prescription yet and by some miracle I became pregnant. I thought for sure I was going to get my period. I was waiting and waiting and nothing. I took 4 tests!! All positive. We were in shock!! My husband couldn't believe it, he said are you sure you don't have a boyfriend, lol!!! So, there is always hope. The saying is right...it only takes one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Danielle :-)

Help from beyond?

A storey to inspire! Here is the storey from a client of mine. She said I could post her ttc journey.

My journey and story of this pregnancy are odd. I have 2 other children. My daughter (born 02/09/2002) was a birth control accident, so when we decided to go for number 2, I figured it would be easy. 11 months later I got a positive test, and that October I had a son. It was amazing. We were very content with 2 children, but then suddenly in 2007 baby fever hit. So after discussion my husband and I decided I would stop getting the depo provera shot.
I had no idea at the time, but going on the shot was the worst thing I could have done for my body, I bled horribly and once I quit I didn't get a period for 7 months. We still tried for a baby, although I highly doubted I was ovulating. No DR I talked to would help me until I had been off the shot for at least a year, preferably 18 months. So if I got pregnant, it was going to have to be on my own, I tried temping, but I am easily frustrated and gave up.

What I believe really happened, and it depends on what you believe is:

On April 8th, 2009 my best friend, and Godmother of my daughter, passed away. Her death has touched me like nothing else. She knew how hard it was for me to get pregnant with my son. She had been there for both my pregnancies. On July 30th (on what would have been her 30th
birthday) I went about my usual routine and went to the laundromat. While waiting for the clothes to dry, i heard her voice telling me to buy a pregnancy test. So although I was only 5 days late (which was normal after the depo shot) and I didn't really feel like wasting the
money. I stopped at the drug store and bought the tests.

When I got home I took the first one and put it on the counter and picked up a magazine to read After I picked it up I looked over, and my test had 2 lines! I couldn't believe it, so I took the other 2 in the next few hours and they were all positive!

It's hard to say, and depends on what you believe, but I truly believe my friend in Heaven blessed me with this child she knew I wanted so bad.

A storey to share

One of my clients is kind enough to share her ttc journey with everyone. Here is her storey!

As requested my ttc journey, you are welcome to use this on the blog, obviously omitting my last name and my email address!!

I got married in Dec 2006 when both my husband and me were aged 29. We both decided to start a family straight away, which meant I never used contraception!!

A year passed, still no pregnancy, I wasn’t to worried about this but husband was. I kept thinking to myself, it will happen, just relax, another six months passed, still nothing. Went to the doctor and had to wait two months for the appointment. All they did at the first appointment was to take bloods and a sperm sample, which we had to wait another two months for another appointment. The results were I was borderline, in the words of the doctor, ‘my hormones were in the grey area, not bad, but not good either. My Hubby sperm count was a little on the low side which shocked us both because we always thought the problem was me.

Anyway the doctor suggested clomid to help things along, but before this I had to have a scan of my ovaries and a HSG ( all of which was normal)

My husband started taking vitamins to try and boost his count and we carried on trying.

I think it was at this point, I went into denial mode, I kept postponing my appointments, ( I think I did this for the whole of 2008) I cant explain how I felt but I did not want to go to these appointments, I just wanted to carry on naturally and had full faith I would get pregnant!

I must admit, we starting going through a rocky match in our marriage, the pressure of trying to conceive was getting too much for both of us. I would resent it when he would ask me if I had a positive on the ovulation test and he would hate it when I told we had to do it, no matter what!! But somehow we got through it!

Well we kept on trying and hubby sperm count improved, still nothing happened. We went to Zita West clinic where they did a comprehensive test and said that taking antioxidants would help with improving the swimmers and morphology

My husband did some research, and he started taking antioxidants including lypocene in November 2008. Around the same time, I took pregnacare conception tablets, which were supposed to help with getting pregnant. I finally convinced myself I would need to go on my appointment and start clomid. My appointment was booked for 15th May 2009.

I got my BFP on May 10 2009, I was due on the 8th May and wanted to wait a week before I tested, but could not help myself.

To say I was in shock was an understatement, I must have done a pregnancy test everyday for one week and I still find it hard to believe.

It may sound strange, but I could not let myself be happy in case something bad happened, I didn’t even want to tell my mum (but did!).

I recently has my 12 week scan and everything is progressing normal, but I am still scared to be happy. I pray everyday that my baby will be ok and safe. I don’t think I will fully relax until the baby is born!!!

All I can say to all those TTC, is to have faith, I know some women have medical issues but miracles do occur, it did for me.

I still to this day, include everyone who is TTC in my prayers, my only wish is that everyone has their wishes granted, Baby dust to all!!!

N.

Also, thanks to you all for your comments below. I am starting to look for recipes that I can freeze to make it easier for them to have meals that they can just pull out of the freezer and cook and not have to prepare! I have to be specific and make sure I find ones that are dairy free. That appears to be the only allergy.

An update for the family.. they have been released from the hospital. Her son is doing well as to be expected. The mother of course is still beside herself with worry and obviously will take some time. Shes completely on edge, ever worried that the baby will have an episode. Hopefully his medication will help. They were put in touch with a foundation that has picked up the tab for three months of supply of the medication he will need which I am sure has been a relief to them.

Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers.

Just because the DR says, does not make it so

Here is another storey of inspiration. A client of mine was told they would need IVF, here is their storey on how they conceived NATURALLY.

We tried for 2.5 years and after various tests we were told in Dec 2007 we would need IVF due to my partner having less than 1% 'normal' sperm. My results were all fine and I was considered to be highly fertile.

We were obviously devastated but IVF was going to cost a lot of money and not be an easy process so we looked into ways of improving sperm count and tried everything. We started with diet, even though our specialist told us this wouldn't make a difference. My partner was eating more fruit and drinking fruit smoothies everyday, shop bought and home made as they are full of antioxidants. He was also taking a large number of vitamins and supplements including a male fertility supplement called fertility plus for men, a high dose vitamin c supplement, cod liver oil, l-carnitinew, l-arginine, pycnogenol, selenium ACE, vitamin B complex and zinc. You can buy some of these together in capsules. Some of them were expensive but no where near as much as IVF!! He was also wearing lose boxers, keeping his mobile out of his trouser pockets, trying to keep things as cool as possible down below. We also decided to book our wedding, this was in Feb 2008 and we were to be married in August 2008. This did take our mind off ttc a bit but its never totally gone. I can't be sure if all this worked or if it was just coincidence but in May 2008, 4 months after starting these changes I found out I was finally pregnant. They say it takes 3 months to make sperm so I think to be pregnant after 4 months of trying to improve his sperm would be a very big coincidence. I also have a friend who had the same problem and did the same thing and was pregnant within 4 months!!
Good Luck to anyone else, doctors are not always right so never give up hope!!

J.A.

PS, dont forget, this also happened to my sister and her husband as well. They were both told they would need IVF as his sperm was ZERO percent, and they now have two healthy baby boys NATURALLY!

Fertility Charm and a Storey to inspire

As most of you know, I was offering a fertility goddess charm to help with conceiving. (see under labels lower right side of blog if you have no idea what I am talking about)

Anyways, one of my clients who purchased one shared her storey with me, and said that I could post it on the blog for others to read it and see what has happened to her so far since she begun using her charm.

(First email May 14)
Cheri:
I just wanted to e-mail you with a little story about my charm.
I have been reading the paragraph and holding the charm a few times a week asking for a dream or a sign and on Palm Sunday a few weeks ago we sat down in church and in front of us sat a woman with a baby in a carriage-- she called him Jude-- and it wasn't until a few weeks later that I realized that this might be my sign--- when I found out about my PCOS I picked a saint to pray to and I picked St. Jude- patron saint of all that's impossible... maybe it's a coincidence or maybe a sign :)

(Second email May 18)
Cheri:
I just had to tell you this... My husband and I went to church yesterday (same one where I saw the baby named Jude) and while doing the prayer of the faithful the priest said and silent intentions which I guess is the part where you ask for something you want... and as he said this I looked to the back of the church and there on the wall said 6 names of saints and St. Jude was one of them... I cried... I couldn't help it. Here I am questioning my 1st sign and here's a second. This is really something strange... I've never been the one to look for signs but I think they are really out there.

Thank you for your time. Have a great week.

So if anyone else is interested in a fertility charm, or wanting more information, please email cheri22@gmail.com and put FERTILITY CHARM in the subject line. I do still have a few left.

So as you can see, your guides always have a way of trying to get in contact. Sometimes the clues are subtle, sometimes right in your face that you can't ignore. Sometimes when you second guess what your shown and toss it off as a coincidence, they will show you the same sign again and its hard to ignore!

Sometimes life lessons can delay your bfp....

I know that we all expect to just start trying to conceive and then WHAM we are pregnant! Wouldn't that just be lovely! The fact of the matter is, that its not always so easy to conceive. So what happens when you have been trying for awhile and the DR's are having a hard time trying to figure out the cause? Perhaps for some cases its more about a life lesson that is getting in the way and needs to be solved. For those of you who have been trying to conceive for a long time, perhaps look at what is happening in your life. Is there something that continues to get in the way and causes a bit of havoc in your life that you have been putting on hold because you are TTC?

For my one client, this was exactly the case. She had been trying for YEARS to have a baby. And her life lesson? That she was with the wrong person! Here is her storey. (she wishes to remain anon)

Over the four years i tried natural methods such as herbs (black cohosh, agnus castus), soy isoflavones, Femara, Laparoscopy and Ovarian drilling last year. I didn't get one BFP.
(The next part you may want to leave out... as you know my 8-year relationship ended in nov due to him not wanting kids anymore... then i met the man of my dreams and well i guess things def happen for a reason...i have never been happier. I emailed you and let you know about this situation telling you that we were not ttc but it was something to consider in the future, you emailed me back saying he was def the right man for me :) )
Anyway.,...Ironically, In the end i ended up getting preg on Yasmin!!!! because i was taking anti-biotics and they must have interacted!! Crazy huh?? i reckon my story will give these women lots of hope..because it really can happen when you least expect it...this all has shown me that in any future struggles i will know that god has a plan for us all and what we want at the time may not be for the greater good and to have faith that things will happen when they are meant to.
I really couldn't be happier in my life now...all my dreams are coming true.
Thank you for you kindness and support cheri,
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!
xoxox

So I am NOT saying that if you have not conceived yet its because of the wrong man, for everybody the situation can be different. I am just saying, perhaps see if there is a life lesson getting in the way, "screaming" to be solved. Perhaps once you move forward, the bfp will happen just as quick:)

Another storey to inspire!

My client just got a bfp and said she would share her storey of her journey in order to provide hope to those of you still on your trying to conceive journey. Here is her storey

After having no trouble getting pregnant with our son (4 months, no OPK, no temping, nothing), we started TTC #2, expecting a similar experience.
We hoped to have 3 or 4 children, and we were both 35 when our son was born, so time was of the essence!
I am a planner and I had it all mapped out, so that I would go back to work from maternity leave, for just long enough to be eligible to take another year off (the advantage to living in Canada - the 1 year mat leave). We started trying as soon as we hit a month (Oct '07) where the EDD would land within these parameters. Being more 'savvy' about the ways of TTC, this time we started out using OPKs (thank goodness for the Internet cheapies!).
After 4 months, we got a BFP, just like last time, and we thought things were falling into place just perfectly. At 8w5d I went for my first u/s only to find that what they found was measuring 5w6d, with no heartbeat. We went through the torture of holding onto hope for a week, waiting to go back for a follow up, only to get more bad news. A D&C ended our innocence on the TTC front.
We took a couple of months to recoup and got a BFP again in June '07, only to have spotting, that turned into bleeding by the time I reached 5w3d.
We continued to try after that for months, with no luck. In January '08 we decided to go to an RE to see what they thought was going on.
We went through some testing (not enough really) and started out on Metformin (1000mg/day) Clomid in Feb '08. We did 3 cycles of Clomid, 1 with IUI, all with no luck. I was ovulating on my own before, and always had regular cycles (slightly less regular then before I had my son, but still 27-31 days on average).
Since this wasn't working we moved on to trying Injectibles and IUI. In June '08 we did our first injectibles cycle and got a BFP. Only to have it all end with spotting, and bleeding at 5w3d, exactly like the last time, right down to the day of the year (July 1st is not a good date for me). Because it ended on it's own and my HcG levels were down to nothing right away (so they must have not risen at all past my 2 blood tests), we started right away on a 2nd round on Injectibles/IUI. This second cycle again we got a BFP. I made sure that they did more beta checks this time, and after 3 consecutively doubling levels, we were feeling positive. At 7 weeks we went for our first u/s and what they found was (once again) measuring 5w6d, with no heartbeat. We waited a week, and once again, things had not progressed, and I had to have a D&C.
At this point , any confidence I had with this RE, was completely gone by then, and we decided to try somewhere new. I got a name of an RE from some friends, and we made our first appointment. The new RE spent an hour with us on our first visit (which is more time then we got with the last RE the whole time we were patients there). He was known for his aggressive approach, and his thorough testing. He did a lot of testing, some repeats of before, some new angles. On Dec 1 '08 we started our first cycle being monitored by this new RE. He put me on a prescription prenatal vitamin, and changed the Metformin dosage to 3000mg/day (he told me the last dosage was like 'spitting in the wind'), other then that it was a natural cycle. One test that I had was a Sonohysterogram. I had had one before (and an HSG as well), but the previous ones lasted about 5 minutes, this one was 20-30 minutes.
On Dec 27 '08 on a whim I decided to poas, because I wanted the bad news sooner then later (and we had a house full of people coming the next day), and was shocked to see 2 lines! My RE watched me very closely with beta draws every 2 days for a week, and then weekly blood work and u/s until 10 weeks.
My beta levels rose beautifully the first week and then slowed down, but continued to rise (the highest I think I heard was 24,000), but at 7 weeks, there was a beautiful heartbeat, and every week after that it was still there!
I am now just over 14 weeks and things are still looking good! I have no idea what it was that worked, the important thing is that it did!
Cheri's original prediction for me was March - and the with my first m/c we got our BFP in mid Feb (which wasn't far off of March), with our 2nd m/c my EDD was Feb 29. When I told Cheri about what we were going through she gave me a new prediction of September. And when I told her about us going to the RE she said she also saw June playing a role, but that she was sticking with September, m/c #3 we conceived and found out in June. Cheri also told me that the testing would take time, but that it would be an easy fix, she couldn't have been more right!
Now I am due September 7th, and in 5 weeks I hope to find out if she was right about it being a girl!

If you have a storey you would like to share, please email cheri22@gmail.com. I do provide an exchange of a reading bypass (worth 10.00) for your storey as a way to "trade". I feel that inspirational stories really help people and put them in a more positive mind frame, and I too love to help people!

6 years of trying, and finally a bfp!

I have another positive trying to conceive storey that my client has said I can share.

This email came in a few different emails so I have copied/pasted them so that the information is here for you all to read!

Hi Cheri,
I just found out 2 days ago that I'm pregnant after 6 years of trying!! You were right, and I wanted to let you know. Thank you!!

Sarah

We had tried for 6 years, using Clearblue Fertility Monitor for most of the time. I started taking Geritol Complete a month and a half ago, which is what I think did it for us. I had used preseed once this cycle. Had used it before with no results. This is our first child with no losses. I had tested from 10-15 dpo with negatives, and at 20 dpo I got 2 lines. =D Estimated due date of 10/23/09.

We had one visit with a RE who diagnosed us with unexplained infertility. He gave me a prescription for Clomid, and I was to take it and come back for other tests and a HSG. We never went back for that second visit and I never started the clomid. I found out about Geritol from the TWW site. There was a thread under TTC Naturally. Figured it couldn't hurt. I started taking Geritol on day 11 of 2nd to last cycle and continued until I got 2 lines, then switched to prenatal

Sarah

(As always mentioned, you need to consult your dr before trying anything on your own. You never know when something you are taking might not be compatible with something else. This is just one persons storey on what worked for them and might work for others. Please research everything before you decide to take it, so you can make an informed decision.)

a ttc journey with a happy ending......

This is a "two part" email that I have received from a client of mine that she has said I could share. She hopes that if her storey helps bring hope to people in similar situations, then shes all for sharing her experience.

Her first email came in with a response to help me gather feedback of people who have received my readings so that I can have a portion on my site for testimonials. This email came in on January 7th.

After 2 years of trying to conceive, numerous fertility treatments, one chemical pregnancy and one miscarriage, I was starting to lose hope that I would ever conceive and carry a child of my own. I was very active on the Baby Center boards at the time, and came across information on Cheri22. I figured I had nothing to lose and was intrigued to hear what she had to say. After I signed up for a paid reading, my heart starting pounding because I realized that she might tell me that I wasn't going to have a child and that fear was with me until a few days later when her email popped up in my inbox. I hesitantly opened the email and to my surprise, there was a wonderful note in there about a BOY in January. I couldn't believe it, she actually saw a boy being conceived, announced or delivered in January! There was a long description of the boy's life including when he would get married and how many children he would have. After
searching for hope and strength for months, I had finally found something to renew my fight and help me to not give up. Unfortunately, January came and went without any news. But, in March we found out we were expecting twin daughters- we couldn't be happier! I remember thinking that maybe Cheri22 was just off a month and didn't give it much more thought. Unfortunately, that pregnancy was not meant to be. In July at 23 weeks pregnant, my water broke and my daughters were delivered too soon to live on this earth. I was devastated and lost and wasn't sure what the future held for me. A few months later, I came across the original email from Cheri22. I instantly emailed her and told her what happened and asked if she had any insights that could help me. She responded right away with her condolences and said that she still saw BOY in January. I can't tell you how relieved I was to hear that! Around the same time, I won
a contest that Cheri22 was running on her blog. I was able to ask 3 questions and of course all of mine were related to fertility and conceiving a child. I was amazed to hear that she also saw GIRL in March. Again this prediction came with an amazing description of my daughter and her life including her appearance, personality and future husband and children.

It is currently January and I am not sure what will happen, but I find hope in the possibilities. I never once lived my life by these predictions. I didn't plan treatments around these months or wait every day in January to find out if it was true. I simply used these as another outlet of light and hope in the darkness of infertility. Cheri22 is so compassionate about her abilities and goes so in depth with her predictions, I highly recommend that you contact her too!

Krista

Her second email came in February 11th

Cheri,
I had to let you know that I just got my second blood test back today, and I am pregnant! I can't believe it, but it happened just as you said it would. I went in the end of Dec and found out I still had placental tissue inside my uterus so I had a hysteroscopy in Jan and then must have gotten pregnant sometime after the surgery- all on my own. We still are not sure how far along I am, but we know we conceived in January. I am obviously scared out of my mind because my beta seems really high to me (381- 978) and more than doubled and with my history of miscarriage and infant loss, I am just a nervous wreck! But, I wanted to let you know because you played a huge part in this. I did the positive thinking exercise you mentioned on your blog the weekend I "think" I ovulated and it worked!
I can't thank you enough!

Time for "secret psychic"!!!!

I will make this one an "easy" one to get everyone started. Here is how you enter to win a chance for a reading from my "secret psychic".

ORBS is the subject. My friend and her family have been taking pictures lately with their camera (digital) and not on every picture, we have seen orbs. Some of them we have wrote off as dust, but there are others when zoomed in, you can actually see FACES of people! There is a storey in particular I wanted to share.

My friends father in law passed away in October from Lung cancer. As you can only imagine how his death has affected his family. Its been recently they have been noticing all these orbs in some of the pictures. I was invited over to the wife of the recently deceased to provide her more information, as a way to help her connect to her husband again. To hear how i see things, to provide comfort. Anyways, I was walking towards the fridge and saw a picture of him, he was wearing a grey shirt with a color, his glasses on and leaning against the railing of a hotel suite they stayed in. I then turned to her and said "when you see him, this is how he is going to come. he was happiest at this time in his life, because he got to spend it with you. So when he comes to visit, this is how he will appear". My friend (the daughter in law) now called me from the computer area down the hall. She brought up a picture and wanted me to look at it. Zoomed into the orb and INSTANTLY I kinda cried out "oh my god its HIM" (meaning the father in law/husband) You could see the glasses, the outline of the color for the shirt.. EXACTLY as it was shown in the picture on the fridge!

So although I do not think that every thing on a picture is an orb, there are certainly ones that I really do feel are in fact our loved ones caught on camera.

So to be able to enter into this draw for a chance to win the reading from the new secret psychic, all you have to do is post in the comment section about your opinion or experiences with Orbs. You don't have to believe in them to be able to participate, and if you do, great share your storey! Everyone who posts a comment in this blog post is entered for a chance to win.

Now if you win this prize, PLEASE do not share the email address or information of the secret psychic. After the 6 weeks is over if you enjoyed your experience, please share anything you would like with whoever. Until then, its our "Secret"!

I will post on Tuesday who is the winner. When commenting, please include a login name or the email address so that you can be connected to your post. i would hate to see two lisa's entering and one winning and not being able to say which lisa one when it came time to collect your prize!
