Monday!

well, I had my birthday on Sunday, and my husband and daughter bought me a new bike (my last one was stolen right out of my backyard shed, about 2 months ago) My mom and her husband and my dad and his wife, gave me money which I bought myself a nice little heart shaped necklace! It was a good birthday and I am not afraid to get older. I dont "like" it, but heck, you can't change the fact that we age, and you might as well enjoy it and make the most of it!

So with that being said, my latest "blog contest" is for the person who can accurately guess my age I just turned! First person with the correct answer wins the prediction bypass (7.00 value) Second person right, gets one question answered for free.

On other news, I am taking a Reiki course tomorrow night. I am very interested in learning this technique and doing some healing for people in that respect. Its something that I have wanted to do for a long time!

In regards to my work situation, as many already know, I have requested to cut my hours at my fulltime job down to part time, to dedicate more time to my predictions and allow me to stay caught up. I am currently about a week behind and this upsets me, as I would prefer to be same day or day after. We are doing interviews tomorrow (tuesday) and we already have a candidate in mind without even doing interviews yet! lol.Hopefully she pans out and I can start next week with my shortened hours!

I am still taking stories of inspiration as well as stories with tips and tricks. I already have wednesdays inspiration storey all lined up and its a very powerful storey. Make sure if you have one, read some posts below as it gives more information on what I need and how to send it to me!

Happy guessing!

Tips & Tricks!

As I am sure all of us can appreciate, anything that can help with ttc (trying to concieve) is always welcomed. We always scour the internet looking for tricks that might have been posted, things that we can try that might help get us that one step closer to holding that baby in our arms.

As mentioned in a below post, I am going to be adding this to my site on various days, usually tuesdays if I can. If you have a tip or trick that helped you concieve, please share it! Email it to cheri22@gmail.com and I will answer one indepth question for you in return. Please put "tips and tricks" in the subject line so I can locate it.

Here is a "tip" that was sent in that I didn't know before, and was excited to share it, thinking perhaps that there were other women not aware of this either!!

"I have a tilted cervix. My doctor told me that because I have a tilted cervix I should not lay with my hips propped up on a pillow like so many other women say to do. He said doing so would only cause the semen to pool under the cervix. He also said that having him ejaculate from behind helps to align the sperm with the cervix and is better than any other position from those with the tilted cervix. The cycle we conceived that's exactly what we did. I also laid in bed for quite a while afterward on my stomach sleeping :-)" Jamie

Update yet again!

Well as most of you already know, I have requested to my current fulltime place of employment to cut my hours to part time. I am hoping to find someone that will "job share". Meaning I work here three days one week and two the next, and then three than two..etc. We are in the middle of collecting resumes for this position, and will hopefully be doing interviews by begining of next week. It seems to be taking longer than anticipated for this process if you ask me, but I am being open about it, because my two bosses are being very accomadating for me. They both know that I want to put my hours to part time so that I have more time to work from home with my predictions. Thus allowing me to stay caught up.

I am still looking for stories of inspiration. It does not have to be only about ttc and or being pregnant. Perhaps it was something that was extremely hard for you, and you made it through, the lesson you learned. You never know who is going through the same thing you are, and could use some positive information about what you experinenced and how you got there. I am willing to answer one indepth question answered for an inspirtational storey if yours is chosen to appear. If this interests you, please email cheri22@gmail.com with "inspiration" in the subject line.

LIVE READINGS: I am offering this for the month of JUNE, its the same cost of the family reading (25.00CAD) and is a half hour long. You can ask pretty much whatever you like. Readings are usually "stronger" connection which means more information is shared. Connections with loved ones tend to be stronger as well and emotion brought forth. One reading I did recently live, had me crying! (emotion brought forth from her father who had passed on) Live readings are done through gmail chat or msn, and are scheduled at a time thats convienent to both "parties". If this interests you, please email cheri22@gmail.com and put in the subject line LIVE READING and I will give you directions on what to do next. Payment is due same day the reading is to take place.

Remember to remain positive above all else. We all need some positive aspects in our life, and if all you focus about is the negative things that happen, that you are inviting negativity into your life. Dont sweat the small stuff.. everything happens for a reason. if you focus on the positive (there is ALWAYS something positive about a sitution if you look hard enough) then you will find that it is "easier' to handle and goes alot faster.

Tips and "tricks" for concieving!

I figured that when I can, will find new ways of trying to increase the chances of concieving. Please note, that these are not "fool proof" ways or "gurantees" but might be fun to try, and might even be successful for alot of you!

The first one I am writing about today is taking cough syrup a few days when your about to ovulate. There is an active ingredient called "guaifenesin" which is know to improve the cervical mucous, which helps the sperm live longer and get up where they need to be faster! I have copied and pasted a "trick" that someone else has tried, and successfully concieved the month they did it. (make sure to consult your dr before trying any new "medication" if you are currently already taking something else.)

Taken from a site online and copied/pasted:
Hiya the month I conceived I did the following:
1. Took Magic Medicine 10ml 4 times a day from 5 days before ov until I was sure I had ovulated.
2. Took baby asprin as soon as someone recommened it to my which was in the middle of AF (1 a day) I actually contuined taking it until I was 12 weeks pg. I did consult my dr and mw and they were happy for me to continue taking it.
3. DH took Zinc (1 a day).

The reasons behind these. Magic Medicine - There is a topic in TTC call Magic Medicine it dates backe about 2 yrs and the majority of girls who took it did become pg. It's a chesty cough mixture like benelyn, own brands are fine and a lot cheaper just make sure it contains 100% guaifenesin.
A side even of this is that it produces more CM than normal which is why you take it just before you ov. Have a look in the topic its well worth reading.
Baby/Junior Asprin This is meant to help with implantation it is used much more in the US where it's often prescribed to women who have previously suffered miscarriages. Basically it's meant to help prevent blood clots.
Zinc for the boys. Zinc is supposed to help with motility of sperm basically getting them to swim in the right direction. I had a mc back in May last year and fell pg again in November I took the magic med from about October and the Asprin in Nov and DH took Zinc in Nov. I got my bfp 14th Dec. Best of luck to you I hope you get lucky soon. The best advise I can give is to try not to stress as stressing can delay your AF and believe you're time will come.

If anyone has any tips or tricks they have heard about and would like to share, please send an email to cheri22@gmail.com with "tips & tricks" in the subject line.

Update and Wednesdays inspiration storey!

Well, after talking to my boss and being honest about what I want, they had put an add in the paper to hire someone either part time (which I requested) or fulltime, which means that my position will be gone. I am actually okay with either decision. I need more time to fullfill my commitment to my emails, as this is where I feel I "belong", and enjoy, and although I enjoy my full time job, I also feel that it was not meant to be "forever". So I will accept whatever they end up doing. So hopefully this means in the next 2-3weeks they will have someone which will allow me to finally catch up with everything!! YEA!

As promised, here is Wednesdays storey of inspiration that will help others hopefully realize that there are solutions and that a pregnancy otherwise worried to never be, just might be closer than you realize!

Storey submitted by Delilah

My husband and I have been actively TTC since April 2006. When I started TTC my Dr told me that I was starting Menopause at the age of 32. I was devestated and didnt know where to go from there. I contacted several other Dr's and found a Fertility Clinic that said they could help.

I went through several tests and many months of injections, pills, ultrasounds only to find dissapointment each month. We did get pregnant in October of 2006 (which Cheri predicted) and unfortunately we miscarried.

After the miscarriage we determined that my body was Estrogen resistant and they couldnt figure out why...My Dr scheduled a biopsy of my linning to see why what hormones were present in my linning....Little did they know that they would find placenta tissue present. My Dr had explained to me that after sending my tissue out for more specific screening it was placenta tissue from a previous pregnancy. In easier terms they said the placenta tissue formed my own IUD (birth control) and this is why I couldnt get pregnant and stay pregnant.

I then went in for surgery to have the tissue removed and at that time they did a full D&C....My husband and I had decided at that point to try and get my body back to normal, give it time to adjust by itself.

We decided to go off all fertilty meds and try some herbal supplements. We tried Lydia Pinkham which they call "Baby in a Bottle". I took 5 pills in the morning and in only 5 days I got my own period, first one in 8 years that wasnt induced by birth control pills. On day one of taking the Lydia Pinkham my linning was barely a 3 (which is good for me since I cant produce a linning) and then after getting my period I went back exactly 10 days after starting the Lydia Pinkham and my linning was an amazing 7. My Dr looked at me and said "I cant beleive what I am seeing, your linning is awesome and the endometrium has never looked as healthy as it does right now. Well one week later my linning is now at an 8.....

I cant tell you how many times I wanted to give up and say hey GOD doesnt want us to have our baby.....I can sit here and say that after many many prayers and many many disappointments I feel like my BFP is on its way.....never give up HOPE.........All things are possible.

I will keep Cheri posted as to my prediction of a June baby......

Delilah
