Baby Making Sex!

Well I know that this is one topic that we are all usually interested in reading. This part of the blog tonight holds some information that hopefully most of you know, or perhaps don't and figured that I would share it with you just in case.

I located an article online about the best positions (and why) for having sex to create a baby. I have copied and pasted the information below to make it easier, as well as copied the link just in case someone wants to check out the site that it came from. If you know of another position that works good, feel free to leave it in the comments section below. I am sure that everyone can use a bit of more information in this ttc journey.

Baby making sex is generally no different from any other sex however, the goal is to have semen deposited near the cervix. All things being equal, this is not usually a concern for the average couple trying to conceive a baby. There are certain positions that are more likely to help you achieve the goal of getting pregnant, particularly if you are having fertility issues. Here are some positions for sex and their potential risks and benefits in the conception department.

Man on Top (Missionary Position)
This is a pretty standard sexual position. This position will help with face-to-face intimacy. It also allows you to lay back and enjoy the show, so to speak. In this position, semen is deposited near the mouth of the cervix. The hard part of this position is that it may be more difficult for the woman to have an orgasm, which is can be helpful in the conception process.
Placing a pillow under your hips during intercourse and/or after your partner has an orgasm can help you get pregnant. By slightly tilting the position of the hips, you allow gravity to aid the travel of the sperm to and through the cervix. You only need to do this for about 30 minutes to enjoy the benefits

Woman on Top
This is generally considered to be counterproductive to getting pregnant because the sperm is deposited near the cervix, but immediately heads the opposite direction. This can be corrected if you lay down immediately after your partner has an orgasm. You can also use the pillow under your buttocks after this position. The good news about the woman on top is that the intercourse is deeply penetrating and can help both you and your partner achieve orgasms, even if it is from manual stimulation which is easier in this position

Hands and Knees Position (Doggie Style)
Okay, before you laugh at the name, this position has a lot of conception benefits. Since there tends to be deeper penetration semen is placed closer to the cervix. While you lack the face-to-face intimacy of other positions, it is also easier to have manual stimulation of the clitoris, allowing for orgasms. Skip the post-coitus pillow if you maintain this position for a few minutes after having sex.
If you have a tilted uterus, you can use this position to make it easier to reach the cervix. If you also convert the position to a knee-chest position by bending your arms slightly to give you even more of an angle. This can be just what the doctor ordered! This is also true if your partner has low sperm counts or poor sperm motility.
The sperm has to work less to get where it is going.

Side Lying
Side lying sex is nice and slow and passionate. It can also be called spooning. Once your partner has his orgasm you can roll over and use your trusty pillow to help you keep sperm near your cervix. This is also good for manual stimulation of the clitoris.
This position is also good for couples where one or more of the partners have a weight issue. This prevents either partner from having to either bear the weight or to hold themselves up. Back problems also fall into this category.

Standing
This position is fairly counterproductive, but fun. Try this for times in your cycle when you’re not concerned with getting pregnant. Remember variety is a good thing and recreation sex is just as important as procreational sex.

Whats new pussy cat....

Today I feel like I am going to puke. Lol. Its the first time really that I have felt more than just slightly nauseous and was not sure I could hold my breakfast down.

Our poor little kitty had surgery yesterday. We had her spayed. She had reached over 6 months recently and we have been letting her outside. As much as I love kittens as well, I really wanted to make sure that we had her fixed before she became pregnant. My dear old Mother in law (who knows everything by the way) insisted to my husband that the cat was already pregnant. I was under the impression that a cat could NOT get pregnant until they were well over 6 months. I even called the Vet to verify and she said "MOST" cats do not go into heat until around 7-9 months old. After picking her up from the vet yesterday, she was NOT pregnant, and is now in fact sleeping underneath my computer desk at my feet. Did I mention this is one of her favorite spots? Every night when I do my predictions I usually sit here at the computer desk with a blanket wrapped around me, and the cat goes under the blanket and sleeps at my feet. I have no idea why, but its something shes always done.

As for reading myself, I am sure that I explained below in a post that I can't really read myself. Before I ever had kids, I had what I like to think of as a "vision"of my husband, my daughter and my son and myself all walking across a grass field. My husband was on the far left, my daughter next to him my son next to her and myself next to my son and walking towards my daughters soccer practice or game. My son had lighter colored hair, my daughter more of a brown and my son had CURLS galore. They appeared to be about 5 years apart. Well, my daughter has brown hair and its CURLY like ringlets and this baby when born will be 5 years apart from my daughter. So based on this vision and my current feelings about this pregnancy, my prediction for myself is a BOY. So I guess we will have to wait and see if I am right.

For myself, most of my answers about my life are answered in dream format. I might get a bit of clues as to how to solve a problem I am currently worried about. But like the rest of everyone, Its not "fair" to have the cheat sheet of life with all of the answers, you wont learn anything, so like everyone there are lessons i need to learn as well. Recently I have been having more "premonition" type things happen that have helped warn me of specific things, I am still working on that part, as usually the 'warning" or the "heads up" only happens a few minutes before the event.

I also 2.5 years ago asked Jennyrenny for a prediction. At the time was not trying to conceive but was curious. She told me AUGUST. I originally thought she meant my current dd as she was conceived in august and never really thought more of it and left it at that. Well here I am 2.5 years later, and conceived in August again. I haven't gotten a gender prediction from her but like I said, I am thinking this is a boy lol

I also a few months back got a reading from Cheri Mancuso (website is linked lower right) and she told me that a pregnancy was right around the corner. Originally I had thought we would try around January 2008, but I have been having irregular periods for the most part and was worried it was going to take a bit longer than it actually did. Without really giving it much thought, decided to stay in August and see what happens, and it did. BFP first month (how it happened for me is also posted below!) Cheri Mancuso also predicted BOY. So lets see if its right!

And just for fun, I am going to also do a "CELEBRITY" prediction. I have a feeling that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will have another baby girl together and connect this with MARCH. I also believe that they will adopt another baby girl, from a similar decent as baby Zahara.

So today, I am going to be a bit slower on my feet. Will try and get a few of my predictions done today before getting the day started and then back again tonight. Again, thank you all for your patience and understanding, as I do try my best to keep up with all of the requests.

And as a little side note, keep your eye open around Oct 1. I have a little "prize" that will be on for the month of OCT.. it will be posted around Oct 1 with the information in it.

Mondays Update

Yesterday was my Aunts 50th birthday party. Up to this point I had not told my sister, or my mother or anyone in the family that I was expecting. I had a shirt made up for my daughter that said "shhhhh I have a secret" on the front and then on the back says "I am going to be a big sister!" I made sure that she wore this, and my sister was the first one to see it. My daughter and her friend were kinda telling people to read the shirt. I thought it would be more fun if people clued in rather than be directed to the shirt, but all in all it did go over well and everyone seemed to be excited.

My Sister and I are going to have babies about 6 months apart. Hers is due in November of this year and most of you know that mine is due in May 2008.

I am trying to catch up with the predictions as usual. I have a feelings It wont take me much longer, i am already working on September 17 & 18th predictions (replies) right now and should have both those days completed today and start on the next ones for tomorrow. There are not alot in each day to be done anymore, so it should hopefully go really fast.

As per my post below, how I concieved I mentioned that I used the birth control pill for 11 days, I am not sure if that helped or not, but it seemed to. My dr gave me 7 months worth of the birth control alesse as I was originally going to go back on the pill before I decided to have a baby lol, so if anyone else wants to try this pill for 11 days to see if it works for them, I am more than happy to mail it to you. These are brand new packs, never been used/opened and its 'use at your own risk" so to speak. Do not ask for the birth control pills if your allergic to them, or know that your DR would recommened against it. If it interests you, email with BIRTH CONTROL in the subject line to cheri22@gmail.com and the first 6 people who email I will be more than happy to send them for you to try out.

I am still looking for stories of inspiration, or tips for concieving, and always willing to trade a prediction bypass portion for the ones that are posted here. You can be "anon" when I post it if you wish.

Best wishes

When its your time to go....

We all know that life starts off with a new beginning .... birth, and we unfortunately know that it also ends with death. I think that we all have some sort of idea on when its our time to go. Although I can predict and approx time frame of when someone is going to go, its not something that I like to do.

I have been asked before when someone is sick, or terminal to tell them how much time their loved one has left. Although I can give a general idea, I try not to. I do not like to pinpoint the exact time frame and have people live their lives as if in countdown mode.

My MIL (mother in law for people who do not know what that is short for) has a dear friend for probably over 25 years who has cancer in quite a few places in her body. Shes been told that she is in stage 3 of her cancer. To my knowledge, unfortunately there is only up to stage 4. Its to the point where she is too far advanced for operation, and basically only has chemo and radiation to try and help "prolong" her life. Basically they told her that her cancer can not be cured, but the radiation and chemo might "help" prolong the inevitable. Death is so sad.

For me, I have a feeling that I will pass on around the age of 83. I have thought this age for a very long time, and just feel it to be right. I am hoping that its just long enough to enjoy the time with my family and friends, and watch my children and grandchildren grow up.

For connecting people with loved ones who have passed over, as morbid as it might seem to some people, is something that I actually get great joy from. There have been numerous connections that you can feel the sense of excitement and happiness come through the person who has passed over that someone has "found" them. Or was able to connect.

The way that it works for me, I do not get "words" per say to come in and tell me what to write. I am shown images or pictures in my head. Almost like I met the person previously and just explaining a memory of them that I remember. Telling you what they looked like, bits of their personality, connections to things that might "trigger' your memory of them. Perhaps a smell, a saying, or an object...etc Most times I am given a cause of death for their passing. They will make me feel connected to a certain area of my body. Like for a heart attack, they will centre around my heart area, and I have learned to interpret it to mean heart attack or even perhaps cancer of the lungs.

I think that all of us to a point are "afraid" of dying. Whether we believe in heaven, reincarnation or an afterlife. I think its because we are afraid of what or who we might miss while we are gone. I know for me, I don't want to miss a thing!

I do believe in re-incarnation, and I do believe in an afterlife. I have not seen these things for myself (Will not/can not astral travel) but have read about these places in more than one book by more than one author. (mostly Sylivia Browne)

So as most people say. Try to live your life to the fullest, and don't be afraid to take chances. In this particular life, there is one chance to live it, to learn it, and to love it. Just experience it.

A new update

Well as most of you guys know, I have been out of town since Thursday to Sunday night and got back around dinner time last night. We planned a family trip up to my Uncles cabin about 5 hour drive from where we live. I can also say that they do not have cell phone or computer access up there! I was totally jonsing for a computer, so you can see how "addicted" I am to my emails! lol

So thank you all for your patience while I got back home to start on my emails again.

Now some news from me. As you all remember, I posted below that I had gotten another bfn, and was thinking af was on her way. Well during our trip, I was still having all the pregnancy symptoms, the nauseous, the tingling nipples, the bloating feeling, and uterine cramping. I decided this morning to take my last hpt test, and guess what....its a BFP! So looks like the last two tests before were just too early to test, and finally got it today.

I will also give you guys an idea on what I did to concieve (as it was the first month trying) and hopefully this will work for others as well.

I originally went on birth control (Alesse) as we were going to wait till early next year to start ttc. I took it for 11 days ONLY. I was having really bad mood swings, just not myself at all, and so I stopped. That was also the point that I decided I wanted a baby! lol. We started having sex whenever we felt like it, mostly two or three days in a row, then taking one day off (just kinda worked out that way) According to the todays parent ovulation thing, it says I would have ovulated around August 25-26th, so I just kept it in mind.

After having sex, I would make sure to keep my hips elevated for 20 mins, and each time we had sex, I would also use my positive thinking excersies. (which are under the "label" tips for concieiving on the right hand side of this blog).

This is all we did.. nothing else. I really do think that the positive thinking as well really does help. The same month I had concieved my daughter, was the same month I started using the positive thinking, and then this first month of ttc, I used it again and got my bfp.

My website is going to be down for a few days (only the payment options) while I get caught up on the ones that have already paid. I should have it back up and running in a few days so just make sure to check back.

Best wishes
