Who knew that water slides could be a workout?

I wish I thought twice about my "brilliant" plan. My god daughter is staying with us from Tuesday until Friday. Yesterday after being asked over and over to take them to the waterslides, I gave in. First, I am not really a waterslide kinda gal. I got the kids suits, towels and sunscreen, and we headed out. After arriving, a sign already says how busy its going to be and to expect LONG line ups. That should have been my first clue. Next, we pick a spot to lay out our towels. All three kids have sunscreen on, so after changing into my bathing suit, I put sunscreen on myself and we head out. My god daughter and my 7 year old off to explore, and myself and the two year old hitting the "tot" slides.

I of course went down a few slides with her, bumped my knee on one of them, but we had fun. After she got the hang of it, I would walk with her to the top of the little tot slide, she would get in and I would head to the bottom before she got there to ensure that she did not fall over or get a face full of water. Shes actually quite the natural. We played in the water type park for the little ones, and stayed in the hottub twice to warm up. Overall a great time. We arrived at 12, and decided around 3:30 it was time to go. Okay okay, I DECIDED it was time to go. I was tired, hot and ready to just go and sit and relax. The two year old resisted, did NOT want to get dressed. The two older ones came willingly as the rides they wanted where boasting a 20-30 minute wait!. Heading into the parking lot, the two year old lets go of my hand (thankfully no cars close by) and decides shes going back swimming. After convincing her it was closing, and that I would bring her again another day, she held my hand to the van. She was DEFINATELY ready for a nap at this point, and passed out even before we left the parking lot.

Fast forward a few hours, to realize that I had burnt my upper back (some parts it appears to have blistered) I guess I forgot to put sunscreen up there.

I wake up this morning and I am stiff and sore. I can barely move my right arm up and down, it hurts, it hurts to bend, it pretty much hurts to do anything and I feel like I have been beaten up! My husband laughs and told me its from the waterslides and using muscles you didn't know you had. Not sure I like this!

Hoping everyone is having a good start to their summer. Today I plan on avoiding outside as much as possible as when the sun is shining on my back (even with my clothes on) it hurts a bit, otherwise is okay, and I ache. I guess its part of the fun of getting older.

Has anyone seen any aliens?

I know sounds like a really strange topic however I read a book from Sylvia Browne many years ago. In the back of her book she gave predictions for the future. Saying that she predicted that in 2010 we would see aliens. That they would make their presence known and the world would know once and for all they exist.

So with this being said I am really keeping my eyes open! She also predicted that in 2021 that the west coast would be gone.. I live on the west coast! So if we see aliens in 2010, I plan on moving further east!

This weekend has been relaxing for me. The weather has been nice, not too hot and not too cold. We have people over for a BBQ last night and its been people we have not even seen for a very long time so it was really nice catching up!

So what do you think...do aliens exist?

Whats in your wallet?

Okay, the topic in the subject line has nothing to do with the post, I have just always wanted to say it. Apparently I am in a good mood today because I am finding things funny!

I was talking with a client of mine earlier this morning. She was telling me of some objects that she had of her father in laws that used to be in her room but she moved them into the barn this month. She explained how he was a "bad" person and that she never felt right going into that room with those things there. The month she removed it, she happened to get pregnant.. Coincidence... perhaps.. but I guess you will never really know.

I explained to her that sometimes when someone in this life was really negative or a rotten person, their negative energy can attach to their stuff. I am not saying that they are there haunting your stuff (because after you pass on, MOST people realize the error in their ways and understand the lessons they needed to learn and are no longer like that). The energy though can still remain on these items.

Believe it or not, you can purify it with holy water (I know it sounds like an old wives tale, but it can work). Other ways, you can put the item in the centre, surrounded by a circle of WHITE candles (does not matter if they are scented or not) and just say over and over, "please release all negative energy attached to this item, only goodness may surround it.".

Another way if you can, is to put the item in the dishwasher because the hot water can also help cleanse it. The dishwasher is a long process of the hot water which will help. I am sure that you can also find other ways by googling it. please do NOT pay someone to cleanse your objects, this is something that can be easily done by yourself!!!!!

How can you tell if something has negative energy attached to it? First thing to start is if the person who owned it really negative... second step.. how does it feel when you look at it, or touch it? Worse case, cleanse it anyways:) You never really know how much something can be interrupting your life without you fully aware!

(this is not to send you all in a panic and throwing away everything you own because your freaked out, but to perhaps point you towards items that might need some special attention)

A bit of a sad day for me..

its exactly four months from the day my mom died. This is not the main thing that has me upset, but probably plays a part. We have decided (as in me, my sister and my mom's husband) have figured out a place to put part of her ashes, and plan to do this sometime next week. Afterwards, heading to the Vancouver Aquarium in the hopes of turning a sad day into one that is happy. (especially for the kids).

Last year for my birthday, my mom bought me some plants, that enjoy the shade, and should come back each year. Out of the 7 plants (or possibly 6) she gave me, only 4 of them came back this year. I was a bit upset about this, but what can you do. Fast forward to to last month. My mother in law while "helping" with the weeding, thought one of the plants was a weed and tore it out. I was CRUSHED. I know its not my mom shes pulling it, but its something I had that was special to me at this point and meant alot (which she did know as it was a discussion a few weeks previous)

I didn't say anything to her as I am sure she would have felt badly, but I was still upset. Then take it to today. Its my mom's husbands birthday today, so myself and my two girls and him went out for a nice lunch. Went back and visited with him for a bit and then headed home for the one hour drive.

I get home and we head outside. My inlaws have been busy in the backyard chopping part of a dead pine tree (or something like that type) and I look down below. My plants that my mom gave me are GONE.. Yes they were below the site where they were working but my first instinct was that they were gone.. I actually believe it or not started to cry. I couldn't believe it. I noticed over to the left that they had been moved, but one of the plants does not look too good. I am still a bit upset about this. My mother in law called today to explain that she "had" to move them because the tree they were trying to cut parts of it down where starting to come close to crushing the plants. I understand the logic in this, but still.. I guess what can you do.

I guess its been kinda like that for me today. I am a very positive person by nature, and most times done stay upset/mad for long. I know that it sounds silly. I guess just one of those days where things affect you a bit more strongly than others.

Blood type and fertility?

I was actually just going a fertility reiki on a client of mine when it came up in her reading about something to do with starch.. They also then linked me to think about blood type and conception. I wondered if this could actually have an impact on trying to concieve or staying pregnant. Seeing as google is my best friend, I decided to try and see what I could find out. I am glad that I did! For those of you who have been trying for a long time or having repeated miscarriages, read this article! Sounds like it could point you in the right direction (or even google like I did and see what you find out)
