Spells....a waste of money in my opinion

I just wrote this on my face book wall and figured I would help everyone better understand my stance on spells. As you can see I really feel that spells are a waste of money. I believe that the power is within you to make it work, or to not. (I am not trying to insult those of you who are pagan or Wicca belief, I am trying to let people know that its within them to harness their own powers rather than paying someone for a "spell")

We have the power to manifest our desires. I have given you plenty of examples that will teach you how to open yourself up to receiving what you want most!

From my post on how to manifest money!

To helping your own fertility
http://iamcheri22.blogspot.com/2009/09/repost-positive-thinking-excersies.html

The power is within yourself!

If you wanted a new job, why not start telling yourself that you will have a new job and that the opportunity is going to come to you in a dream? Or that you will find the listing online... did you know that whenever I applied for a job and went to the interview that I would call my mom and say "I want this job I want this job I want this job", and I have been offered the job. (I did this twice and got the job both times!) I have a client that I have been working with in order to help her get over her negative way of thinking. I MADE her email me during the stressful time of interviews and the wait and told her to change her way of thinking. Normally her instinct is to assume that someone else would get the job and that it was not going to be hers..... I kept telling her that negative thinking pushes opportunity away. I wanted her to email me and tell me that this job was hers. Tell me that they would be telling the job was hers and allow herself to feel excited about this. She got the job (This was also predicted for her for the month of October which is when she got the job).

Its hard to change your way of thinking. I have been told that that it takes 21 days to form any new habits so perhaps its time to get started! Believe that anything is possible and you can direct good things into your life. Believe that you have the power to change it because you do! You don't need a spell.

Sometimes the reason things in our life that are blocked are because of ourselves or a life lesson at work. Its up to you to determine which is standing in your way. Stress is never a good thing and its about learning meditation to let it go.

I guess it really troubles me that someone would "cast a spell" to help with certain aspects of your life. I do believe that most peoples intentions are pure in helping you, but I really believe that you can help yourself. There are some people out there right now (I wont name names) that are offering spells as a way to generate more money from people who are looking for help. Please please please, realize that you have the power to do this yourself!

Will we be judged May 21, 2011?

There are some groups predicting that the world will end (or the start of it) may 21, 2011. They say that Jesus will return and judge us all and then the world will destruct by October 21, 2011... (http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/)

Do you believe this? Me, no, I do not believe that Jesus will return to earth to judge us all and then punish us by ending the world.

We have all come to learn lessons in this life to better evolve our spiritual destinations. (With Gods love and permission). Its free will and lessons we need to learn that sometimes bring out the bad in people. It happens. Its when you pass, that you need to learn those lessons and forgive yourself for your wrongs and the people you hurt. God does not judge, yet we seem to judge ourselves. His love is unconditional and if you can love and forgive yourself for your mistakes, he can too.

So no, I do not believe that Jesus would be brought to earth in order to judge us all. If anything, its going to be a bunch of lunatics who cause havoc and destruction in his name. Yet, I still dont think that it will be the start of the end. What are your thoughts?

James Van Praagh said...

"Signs from spirit are all around us, and everything speaks to us if we stay aware. If I meet with constant resistance, obstacles, and delays about a certain project, I take it as a sign from spirit that I am heading in the wrong direction." (taken from his facebook post). I thought I would actually add to this as it can totally be misunderstood.

We all have lessons in life, and we can all admit that learning those lessons is never easy.

When you are facing a problem, and every step of the way you are met with resistance, you face hurdles to overcome, things just dont seem to be going right, should you walk away? James Van Praagh thinks you should. Me, I think that you should do a few things before walking away.

1) Trust your gut intuition!! Does this seem like your trying to force this to work? Like putting a square peg in a round hole?

2) Are you paying attention to the signs around you? Usually dreams are fairly good about allowing your guides to help you figure out what is wrong with this current path and if it will be successful. Often as well leaving signs around for you to interpret and know if its right.

3) Has this same scenario played out many times before? It does not have to always have the same people involved, but is the situation similar and its always difficult so you walk away or give up? If so, its a life lesson that needs to be dealt with.

You never need to make a rush decision in your life when you feel its going to be a big decision. You can ALWAYS ask your guides to help you figure out the right path. If you find your judgement clouded and not getting a clear answer, email a psychic you trust and connect with to gather more insight.

So there are many factors in life that you need to consider before just walking away. I really think that life tends to be tough when situations include life lessons. A life lesson will always find a way to creep back into your life. Its just a matter if your willing to learn it or not.

An amazing storey

I asked one of my clients to share her storey. She said that creating her vision board has been a rewarding experinece, allowed her more motivation and basically got her life back on track. Shes in a happier place. Shes agreed to share her storey in the hopes that those of you in a similar position to what she was going through, might find this helpful as well.

This has been copied/pasted from her email (with her permission of course!) If you have any questions, you can email me cheri22@gmail.com and I can put you in touch with her... or you can post in the comments below as I know she does read this blog and knows her storey is about to be posted:)

My vision board experience.

Last week I had to deal with something that I’ve been putting off for months/years. When I finally dealt with it, I went into a deep depressed downward spiral. I decided to get a reading done about the situation. While I waited for my response, I ended up going to work the next day and started to cry in my co-workers office. He asked me if I was ok and all I did was shook my head and said no, my spirit is broken. I had something I was dealing with and held it inside for such a long time. I called my friend and we talked for 2 hours and I cried and I told her my situation. I took the next day off from work (Friday)and stayed in bed all day. I was such in a state that the thought of eating food, made me want to vomit. I had no desire to do anything. It was one of those moments where if I had the energy I would have pulled a Brittany and shaved my head and grabbed an umbrella and beat the window of a SUV. (look that up if you have no idea what I’m talking about.) But I think we all know the feeling that I’m referring to. I read Cheri’s blog and saw the vision board post. I was still waiting for my reading and said to myself….that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to make my vision board. So the next day I got up out of
bed grabbed a magazine and started searching and cutting. I didn’t have any more so I went to the local bookstore and bought 4 magazines. I grabbed magazines where I knew there would be pictures and sayings that I wanted to put on my board. Went to the art store bought 2 poster boards and a glue stick. I then went to the lady who gives me my reiki treatments (she also owns a store).
I came in she saw my face and was like whats wrong. Two weeks ago I had a reiki treatment done and afterwards my reiki master said, the weight gain that you are experiencing (I gained 10 lbs.) is because you are fearful about something and you need to deal with that your body is protecting yourself. So I lied and gave her some lame story. So I came in to tell her my truth. I ended up staying for 2 hrs and we talked and I cried and I
told her about my vision board. She said that was a great idea and that she was going to make one too.
So I ended up buying some reiki charged candles (crystal journey) they smell great too, and came home lit my candles and cut out all these wonderful sayings and pictures. I felt like a little kid again, and the
board gave me a purpose again. When I was done, I had a great big smile on my face. I taped it up on the back of my bedroom door. I look at it and read it every day before I go to work and before I go to bed/meditate. Cheri’s reading came in and she said I’m on the right path now. I responded back telling her how the vision board really helped me turn my attitude and mindset around. She then asked me if anyone (friends/family) had noticed the shift in my energy because she could tell from a matter of days the change.
So this is what I noticed I have noticed that once I made a change in my thinking, and my life, it seemed like everyone followed. Right away people (strangers, men and women) smiled said hi, held doors open....the one woman I wasn't getting along with at work (we haven’t spoke to each other
or even looked at each other for about 3 months) I walked up to her and told her why I had been feeling the way i was about her and the way she treated me and she hugged me and said I still love you........
When I meditate before bed, I can feel in the pit of my stomach this energy, it feels light, it feels uplifting so I can actually feel my body taking on this new positive energy....and I tell myself I deserve all this good stuff.......I deserve it.....everyone deserves good stuff......and now it's my time.!!!!! Before it was this heavy energy in the pit of my stomach, the doubt, the negative feelings……..I can feel each day I’m
getting stronger or more powerful. I know this post is long but not only did I make the board, I also get reiki treatments done which also can get that negative energy out of your body and make everything lighter and you can reclaim your personal power if you lost it. (check that out if you are looking for more ways to clear your energy)
So make a board, have fun with it, put whatever you want on it, and
keep adding to it. Relax and say thank you for whatever is on your board and remember things can happen and they will happen because you deserve it………..we all deserve it.

Life is like a bunch of lego

I read most of the comments from the last post, so figured perhaps I would try and provide further insight about our paths here in life. Please excuse any spelling errors, but the spell check is missing from the blog post option!

As I have mentioned before, even before we start our journey in this life, we draw up blueprints of our lives. These are just the "basics" of the overall aspects we wish to learn about. These are "lessons" that we wish to learn in order to improve our overall well being and spiritual selves. Whether we choose to learn about hardship, or love... Or if we choose to learn about wealth and greed..etc. There are MANY aspects to the lessons we can choose from. Whether our main focus is just one, or up to five at a time. Its all decided before we get here.

This is where things get "tricky". Lets pretend that we are using our blue print to build a "house" (translate to life). To build this house, we are using different colors of lego.. Its our choice on what color to use, but the overall design is still going to remain the same.

So, translated means, that our life the overall aspects, lessons..etc. that we plan to learn are going to remain the same.. its our choice on how we get there. If you have not learned your lesson, you will continue to repeat it until you "get it".

For me, one of my lessons was about respecting myself. EVERY single boyfriend I dated cheated on me. It was just before I met my husband that I had realized that I did NOT need to let people treat me like crap or a doormat, and that I deserved better. That I had made a concious decision to not allow boyfriends to cheat on me, and be "okay" with it, or continue in the relationship thinking I could not do better. Thus, by learning my lesson I was able to move forward.

You can't just say "I learned my lesson" and then think that its going to move forward. You actually DO need to have learned it and make a concious effort to not continue in that way/path.

Now this goes for relationships as well. If your with someone who is not treating you well and you make a concious decision to leave, does this mean you learned your lesson? Well it really depends on why you decided to leave. Did you learn what drew you to that person in the first place? Are you willing to realize that you CAN make a decision on what makes you happy and what does not? This is usually the first part of learning your lesson is realizing that you have a choice here.

So many different choices can change the color we use to build our house, but will not change the overall design.

In a question posted on the last post, they asked if they were predicted four, but their husband wished to remain at three, what would happen. Well if you made the choice to stay at three, then you are just changing the colors of your lego house. This would perhaps also shape things differently in your life. There might be another child that your children introduce you to, that you feel connected with, almost like "one of your own". Or perhaps you will end up looking after another child more so than what you normally would have... its always going to find a way into your life, as the overall "design" will still be the same, its just a different way to get there. So if you decide not to go for the fourth, your just changing on how that "fourth" interacts with your family.

Please let me know if this makes sense:) Its hard to interpret when they are just showing me lego in multiple colors and building a house with it:)

The one who stands in your way for 'greatness' in this life...

Is YOURSELF!

There are always things that we want or want to do, but for some reason always end up putting it on hold, something else comes up, and we are often selling ourselves short.

I know that most of us have been brought up to be nice, do nice things for others, to not be selfish....etc.. but what we have also been taught, is that your life needs BALANCE. If your always giving of yourself, what is left for you? Its okay to be "selfish" at times for wanting to do things for yourself. I think that this is something that we often forget.

In my "need" to help others, and do good things, I have often forgotten what Cheri wants. Often too freely giving of my time, often committing myself to things that really have nothing to do with me, or have me going so far out of my way to be accommodating to someone or something, that I have somehow lost the reason I agreed in the first place.

I mentioned that this was part of my recent lesson in life. The ability to say "no" when I really did not want to do something, or to limit the amount of help I offer. This is a constant in my life right now and is very hard to do. I have a hard time saying no.

I think that this topic is also linked to depression. (I do not have it). Too many people are focusing on others problems, that they are often avoiding their own. You really need to realize that you have a choice here. You can either allow the depression to swallow you whole, and wreck havoc on your life and those around you... or you can admit that you need help, accept the help your given, which will allow you to refocus your life and where your priorities are.

You need to have time to focus on yourself as well. You NEED to realize that this is your life here. Yes we are able to reincarnate, but this is the only life you have as this particular person. These lessons you need to learn, these people around you in this shape/form/personality. So realize your full potential in this life. Realize that there are choices to be made, to enrich your life and make it more fuller.

Not enjoying what you do for a living? There is nothing stopping you from making that choice. Find another location (yes change is scary, but it can also enrich your life) Find another profession... there are subtle changes you can do to make things better.

If you had one thing that you could do for yourself, what would it be? A trip? A new vehicle? Would you change your profession? Have more kids?

For me. I would have more time to spend with the kids. More hours in the day to be able to get everything I want done. Gosh here I go again! Thinking of things I could do for/with other people. Hmmm.. For myself.. I would like a perm again, or some highlights because it makes me feel nice. I would work out at the gym to feel healthier...

How to recognize a lesson at work

I know i have said in many previous posts about lessons we need to learn in this life in order to help use grow. Not just as people, but spiritually as well. Well, sometimes the best way to notice a lesson at work, is to realize that its happening over and over and over, and yet each time your making the exact same choice.

For example, when I was a teen (seems like a lifetime ago!) I dated "losers". Although at the time I was not completely aware of it. These were guys that I would date, finding them attractive and nice at the first part, but not really clueing in to the fact that they were lieing and or cheating on me. I remember my best friend telling me she had seen my then boyfriend (my first love) holding hands with another girl. I confrtonted him and he denied it. I accepted it and continued the relationship. Eventually finding out more information in the time to come from other sources. Finding out he had slept with someone else. When confronted by myself, he laughed it off, told me to go ahead and ask the girl and while at it, ask if he was any good. I dont think that he really thought I would ask...but I did. I walked up to her while in school and actually told her he asked me to ask her that. The look on her face told me what I needed to know.

I dated other guys, it seems like everyone I did date (trust me its not a ton of guys!) they would end up cheating. It was just before I met my husband that I gave my head a shake. I stood there and faced the lesson. Up till that point, i went along with any scenario that came before me. Accepted the people for who they were and did not give myself the opportunity to realize that I was WORTH more than that. Meaning, I was a good person, and did not deserve to have people treat me like crap. It was then that I vowed, that any man I did date would have to be honest. Should he cheat, the relationship would be over.. I met my then husband in a bar (which I predicted to my friends when I was 16, although not fully aware yet of my gifts). When we started to get serious, I told him that if he EVER cheat on me, it would be over. Whether we were still dating, engaged, married or with or without kids... I would walk away. He told me the same applied to him. It was when I realized that my lesson was as plain as the eye can see, and made the change to get away from my "routine" way of thinking that the lesson stopped repeating. My husband (been married now for almost 10 years and together for 15 years this month) has NEVER cheated on me, nor I him. He is honest to the point that sometimes I question why I even asked him that question! (hes definately the type that if you asked if you look fat in something, if you did, he would tell you yes).

So it was two days ago that I realized that another lesson is at work in my life. I guess you can call it an "awakening". Not that I have not had lessons prior to now, just this one really sticks out, which tells me its more of a "life" lesson rather than just a learning one.

For those of you who know me well.. I am generous. Not only with my time, money or what have you. I go out of my way to help people. I always have. This is not to toot my own horn and tell you what a wonderful person I am (although I am! lol) its to give you the "background" to this lesson.

I seem to without hesistation, offer my time and or money or whatever to people that I am not really "connected" to. This is not a "bad" thing at all nor am I complaining.. but I seem to at times really put myself "out" bending over backwards to try and help someone or do something for them and I ask myself now.. why? I know that it makes me feel good to be able to help people. my mom instilled that in me, but I think this lesson is trying to tell me that its okay to say no... that its okay to not do "everything" for everyone.

Example. I do daycare 5 days a week. I have three kids that have days scheduled throughout the week. My one daycare parent told me one morning during this week that a mutal friend had asked her to watch her 7 year old while her and her husband headed on a trip to mexico. The daycare parent is the step mom to this girl which is why she was asked first (after the bio dad canceled) I mentioned I would see what i could do to help, as my daughter and this 7 year old are great friends (they have sleep overs frequently). To make a long storey short, here i am, looking through my daycare schedule, seeing that three of those days I would have a "full house" of daycare which means no room in the van for the extra 7 year old. I immediately start to think on how i can "shuffle" things around to be more accomodating, figuring out if my inlaws could come part of the day while I shuffle kids back and forth to school. (not to mention this other 7 year old does not goto the same school anymore, so it would require more time and driving) basically.. I was REALLY putting myself out. Not only would it require alot more time/planning and a bit of a headache to do it, but the money involved with the traveling, the lunches/snacks that would be needed for school and the extra breakfast/dinner that would also be provided.. and I stopped still in my tracks and litterally had to ask myself why? Why was I going to re-arrange my entire life for a week for this woman that I have only met twice, and her boyfriend to goto mexico for a week? The answer was.... I have a hard time saying no. I literally feel guilty when I can't help someone. This is something that I really need to work on. Not just saying "no" because I think I would be put out....but paying attention to all of the factors. If it was family/close friend, I am sure I would still do it.. but otherwise, I really need to take a step back and figure out what I would need to do in order to help, rather than just jumping right in and doing it.

I tend to go overboard as well when I help, which I also think that I need to cut back on. Sometimes its about being more balanced and focused in your own life as it is to helping people. Now please do not read into this, as this does NOT apply to my psychic ability at all. I believe that I was given this gift and shown how to use to to help people.. and this will NOT change. I will ALWAYS help my clients to the best of my ability.

just in my personal life, I need to say "no".

here is another example. I have been friends with a girl for quite a few years. Shes been my husbands friends sister (following me? lol) anyways, we haven't really been in touch. Shes in a different city than me, and her brother and my husband dont really talk much (seperate paths). last year, she emailed me to play a baby game. She found out she was pregnant, and wanted everyone to guess the gender/weight..etc. I guessed boy and the date, and emailed her to ask how things were. We exchanged a few emails and I told her to let me know when she confirmed gender (she is not aware of my gifts - its never come up). Well.. no email. As her pregnancy continued, I have seen a few posts on her facebook wall of her pregnancy, no mention of gender. I posted a few hellos to her on her wall, sent her at least two messages on facebook, and no response.. Nothing :( Through mutal friends, have heard she was having a boy and that she was due in July/August. Well, about 2 weeks ago, I got an invite to a baby shower to come and meet the baby on the 16th of this month. My first instinct is to reply yes, and shower the baby with gifts.. Because this lesson had come up before I answered it, I clued in to it on a deeper level. Realizing that perhaps when treated "unfairly" its okay to say "no" to that event. Which is how I replied.. and this is the first time, I did not feel guilty for saying no.

I like to think of myself as a good friend, I am sure at times I have done my fair share of stupid or hurtful things, but they were unintentional and always apologized for if I have ever upset anyone. I really dont like people being mad:) So I think its also as much as "letting go" of someone thats been in your life when you know its time.

I would love to hear anyone elses feelings on this subject.. either life lessons, or perhaps you too taking on more than you should from other people, doing too much..being overly generous and not really realizing it.

Dont forget, the end of this month is the end of the contest for october, and I will announce the winner. So leave an email address or a login name so I can keep track of your "entries"
