If you see a laptop going out the window...it was probably mine!

Well, it all started with my computer having this pop up menu from dell to do a backup. I always just ignore it and tell it to remind me later! Well thats been going on for about a year, figured I would follow the link and see what else is had. Well, it wanted to do a diagnostic, so I let it do it only to get these links to tell me that I needed to back up everything "IMMEDIATELY" because my hard drive was going to crash. After talking to Dell who confirmed what it said, and said would send me a new hard drive within 2 days it was freaky! I dont have alot of stuff on my lap top as I use it for my readings mostly (and facebook), so I just saved my pictures and some documents and I was good to go.
I got the hard drive delivered, a friend of mine installed it and then I used the CD's to reinstall my programs. Well on most lap tops, they have that touchpad mouse. For the life of me, could not figure out how to turn it off! Everytime I even attempted to start typeing, even if my finger just grazed it, the pointer spot would jump anywhere in the page and my text would get all messed up. Talk about frustrating! I tried for an HOUR to turn it off, nope!
Called Dell the next day who said I had not installed a driver, they took over the computer and fixed it. Thank goodness for that! Turns out, had to call them a few hours later as the computer was taking FOREVER to load anything! Again, another call to Dell, them taking over the computer for 45 minutes while they adjusted more settings, installed more drivers and made the computer good as new!
Trust me, with the problems I was having, was definatley ready to chuck the lap top out the window! So happy now that things are back up and running and can get back into the swing of things.
We had snow the other day which my girls both loved. They played outside, but not able to really make a snowman. The snow was too "fluffy" if thats even possible for it to really pack and stick together. My husband decided to come and watch us or so I thought until he pelted me with a snowball in the butt!
My youngest is having horrible sleeps. I am thinking that shes getting a bit hot at night, but also has allergies.. always stuffed up and with the change of weather and getting a bit dry that has to cause problems too. I was looking for a humidifier for her room, and they dont have any kid ones! I know I have seen online little frog ones that you can use for the kids room and it was reasonably priced. Here, nope!
We dont have black friday here in Canada, but I think that they are trying to mimic it here to some degree. I was at the mall yesterday looking for a humidifier and Zellers was locked down until 6pm. There must have been 100 people waiting at the doors to go in. As I had not seen the flyer I had no clue why so many people would be waiting outside. They opened the doors and people started RUNNING into the store. It was kinda actually funny to see. I found out that in some stores in the states, made the local news as people were being trampled! How crazy is that! Hopefully none of you had that happen to you!
Christimas is fast approaching.. whats on your wish list this year?

Well, we all know that it takes sperm and an egg to make a baby.... but for those of you who are having trouble with getting your husband to perform, it can be another storey. Not only do you have to pay attention to when you ovulate, and your fertile window, you need to ensure that your husband is in the mood. So what happens if your husband has "troubles" at times? Turning to things like viagra can work, but for those of you who are not really wanting to use a prescription did you know that there are natural herbs out there that can help with this?
I was watching Dr. Oz tonight while doing my readings and he was doing a segement about the "worse" and "best" things to have for weight loss, or lack of libido..... He actually said that the best thing to take to get your motor revving is GINSENG!!!! As I seem to be a googleaholic figured I would look it up and see if I could find more information and I did!!!
"Both American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) and Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng) roots are taken orally as adaptogens, aphrodisiacs, nourishing stimulants,[citation needed] and in the treatment of type II diabetes, as well as for sexual dysfunction in men"
Ginseng and reproductive activity
A 2002 study by the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (published in the annals of the New York Academy of Sciences) found that in laboratory animals, both Asian and American forms of ginseng enhance libido and copulatory performance. These effects of ginseng may not be due to changes in hormone secretion, but to direct effects of ginseng or its ginsenoside components on the central nervous system and gonadal tissues.
In males, ginsenosides can facilitate penile erection. This is consistent with traditional Chinese medicine and Korean medicine medicinal uses of ginseng.
Ginseng is known to contain phytoestrogens. In some studies, ginseng has been demonstrated to have a stimulating effect on the pituitary gland to increase the secretion of gonadotropins. Another study found that in young mice, it speeds up the development of reproductive organs, while in adult male mice, it stimulates the production of sperm, and lengthens the estrus period in female mice.

I think that most of you will remember in my previous posts last month and this, I really felt that one of my current life lessons was about learning how to say no. That in my life, I seem to always help people and go over and above what is asked. Lets just say that my name is "Mrs Nice Girl" (vs mr. nice guy!) This is usually a good quality to have HOWEVER, there are certainly times when I seem to get it go too far. That I tend to let people take advantage of my generous nature and cant say "no". I tend to volunteer myself ALOT to the point where I am actually putting my self out, rearranging my life to accommodate someone else. I have been trying to learn that its okay to say no if it does not work for me, but still happy that I can still say yes if I can fit it in.
As I mentioned, someone hit my van. They did not want to go through our insurance company as they said that they did not want it to be on their insurance. Mrs Nice Girl said I would do what I could and had actually thought perhaps just going through our insurance would be easier.
I talked to her on Tuesday perhaps, and suggested that we goto insurance after getting an estimate for my repairs at 1000.00! She again said she did not want to, and that she would rather have her friend fix it. (He is supposed to be in this industry and a professional). Well, here I am agreeing to do it this way after she made me feel guilty about her not having the money to fix it, and not wanting it to be on her insurance. We agreed to allow her friend to come to my house on Friday and get the bumper and take it back to his shop to repair it. He would then come back on Saturday and put it back on and then everything would be over and done with. This would mean that I would only be without my vehicle for one day...... YEA RIGHT! The guy called today around 5pm saying he could not make it and would be back TOMORROW.. so that is now TWO days I am without a vehicle. Frustrating to say the least.
Now completely out of character for me, I talked to the women who did the damage and explained that I was disappointed with how things were going,. That I did NOT cause the accident and yet I was being put out on the Saturday without a van. I suggested that a way to make it up to me would be to give me a 10.00 gift card to my favorite Tim Horton's (I love their tea). I would never normally ask for anything as its just not me, but with everything that I have done to help this women out and trying to be accommodating, I thought it would be the least she could do. (Hopefully this does not sound greedy by asking for that! lol). Well, I have seen her two times since I asked, nope.. she had agreed to it on the phone but sounded peeved I would even suggest such a thing... I think that this situation is my life lesson standing right in front of me and again trying to show what I am meant to learn..
You see, your life lesson will keep repeating itself in different scenarios until you learn it. So once you realize what it is that keeps happening and the way you react to it each time and change that pattern, you can move on to that next life lesson. So, that's what I am going to do. Take the time to decide what is right for me and my family. To help people when I am able to without putting myself out any more than necessarily, and realizing that I can say no. (gosh even writing that down sounds hard, but going to have to do it!)
(please note, this topic does NOT apply to helping people with my psychic abilities. I truly believe that this gift is meant to share in whatever positive way I can)
So in my situation, had it happened to you, would you too have gone out of your way to try and help and be accomodating? Would you have just not bothered and gone through the insurance? (I would not have to pay anything and been given a rental while the van was being repaired) Did you think asking for the 10.00 gift card was reasonable considering what I had done to help?

if there is no sperm....does that mean no pregnancy?

NO! So if your dr is telling you that there is no chance to conceive naturally and you have no choice but to seek IVF or simialar, please do not just jump in and do it that way. There are always aspects to always try before you have to go that route.
As I mentioned years ago, my sister and her husband went through a vasectomy reversal. They were told that it was UNSUCCESSFUL and that basically there was 0% sperm. Their only choice was to use IVF. While waiting for her period to start so she could start taking the pills, she found out she was PREGNANT.. naturally. The only thing they did, was use astragalis, horny goat weed and false unicorn. These are things that are NATURAL and found in the natural type stores.
My sister also conceived her second son naturally as well.
I actually was looking things up online and also ran across this other article that actually gives you other reasons as to what could be causing a diagnosis of either no sperm, or low sperm. So rather than just jumping to IVF, check out these aspects too. Sometimes its just easier for a dr to recommend something faster rather than getting to the root of the problem.
There are several natural treatments to increase sperm volume, but before starting any treatment, have your husband see his doctor for a physical or see a urologist.
There can be medical reasons for lack of sperm, such as blocked ducts in the prostate gland. The prostate produces a liquid that mixes with semen to provide nutrients to sperm and allows sperm to be ejaculated into the woman's body.
Also, if he wears tight pants, briefs or is sitting for several hours a day, the heat can destroy sperm.
A urologist can determine if he has varicoseles, which are like varicose veins, but they are in the testicles, and they allow blood to flow back in and the heat kills the sperm.
If he has a medical condition, such as varicoseles, the procedure takes 9-12 months to correct his sperm production issue.
Here is the link to the site where I got this information.

The memories of Christmas

Something that is obviously going to be on my mind alot this year.. For those of you who have lost a loved one....what did you do for the first holiday or special event in your life where they were "missing" from?
For me, Christmas was ALWAYS my mom's most favorite time of year. She would wish like crazy that it would snow on christmas morning. She did not mind if it snowed any other day of the year, but Christmas was a "must". For those of you that know I live in British Columbia (Canada) I am on the lower mainland area, and we live near a "rain forest". Enough to be able to tell you that if you lived here, you would know that it rains here ALOT. So for us to get freezing temperatures or alot of snow is not very likely (although we do get some). So for it to actually snow on christmas day, is not always likely. In fact if I am not mistaken, there are a few department stores that if it does snow over a certain amount on christmas day, certain things are free! Thats how confident they are!
Well.... every year we would get together for dinner. I would call my mom in the morning (She would often be the first one awake, and extremely excited and waiting for us to call her when we woke up) We would talk about what we all got, she would talk to the kids, and then we would meet somewhere for christmas dinner (either my house or my sisters). This year.. thats not going to happen. I'm not going to open a present that is labeled from "tigger" (my mom's cat, as she insisted her cat did her own shopping and picked it out) Or the TONS of presents for the girls that I would insist she did not need to buy. My mom was like a little kid... this year.. I am going to miss that...
So... to make sure that I am having a good time with my family this christmas, and not being miserable and crying my eyes out... what are good ways of having a good time, yet still remembering my mom at this time of year....
I was also trying to find an ornament or something, that I can either engrave or perhaps store some of her ashes in? That way she would always be apart of christmas. Wasn't sure if anyone has come across something like that?
I would love to hear what you have done to make that special holiday more bearable...and well....happy!

My nick name should be "speedy"

Tomorrow I am going to be EXTREMELY busy and having to do things as fast as possible to ensure that I can get it all done in the time that I have. I have a dr's appt tomorrow morning at 8:45... wondering why? Well, with my cold, remember me saying that my right ear was all stuffed up and for a bit there I could not here? During my last dr's appt a week ago, I mentioned that my right ear at times sounded like I was listening under water. This has happened a few times off and on during the last year, so figured it was time to mention it. The Dr took a look in my ear and tried hard not to laugh. Then asked me if I used Q-tips. I kinda new what he meant then and said yes as I too tried not too laugh. Apparently I had pushed the wax up right against my ear drum which is why I was having trouble hearing! Too funny! So I have an apt tomorrow for him to flush my ear out. I have been using really hot water to shoot in my ear each day with my shower, but not sure if its helped. I guess I will find out.
I am also going to goto a bodyshop locally and have them take a look at my van. My husband took a look again at my van, turns out he was looking at a small spot at the back of my van (that I had NO CLUE was there) and when he looked at the front he figures it can be fixed, and not as bad as I had feared. He does NOT want the other women driving my van period, nor does he want me going to another city for it to be fixed (I have daycare, so its hard to travel the other kids back and forth, so nope). So will go around here and see what they say, if they figure its an easy fix, will submit her a quote so she can either pay it, or we go through insurance. I really do not want to keep it that way.
Then I need to run a BUNCH of errands, bank, a few others things that I am sure I am not going to get to but will try!
I actually really love Mondays. I really think that Monday is my most favorite day of the week. Most people seem to really love the weekend, but I like it when the week starts. Whats your favorite day?

What a crazy week this has been!

It has literally been a crazy week for me. This week has Rememberance day smack in the middle of the week. We were lucky that our school was closed Thursday & Friday, but I know most people still had to work. I still provided daycare today but it was nice not to have to rush back and forth to the school!
Wednesday one of the mom's at the school hit my van. Not a huge thing, but she scratched the bumper and headlight pretty bad. She is really hoping we can settle without the insurance company and now I am not so sure. Yes, the damage is not huge, but its an eye sore, and not there before she hit it. Well she now explained to me today that the person shes hoping that can fix my van is located about a 30 minute drive from me. Ummm.. NO.... I require my van for daycare purposes for one thing, and she was thinking that she would borrow my van, drive it into the city to be fixed and lend me her Mom's van.. Ummm... NO. First of all, she hit me.. What makes her think that I am going to let her drive my van? (I have heard from her daycare provider that she can't drive very well and is always running over things getting into her driveway!). Then I get the impression that this place she wants to take my van to be fixed, is NOT a business, but rather a person who seems to be able to repaint things? Umm.. NO. I want it professionally done. The bumper is also gouged out you cant just repaint over that. The headlight has to be replaced. You can't fix it. I told her I was okay going to an auto wrecker and getting another light as long as it does not look like crap. So, not really sure what to do here. I heard through the grapevine that shes not doing well financially, I understand that.... But then I am wondering if again my own life lesson is here at work.. where I seem to always be bending over backwards for people when its not really something I should be.. What do you guys think? What would you be doing?
Then today, at the mall, you can tell that everyone is getting grumpy as it gets closer to Christmas. The Christmas shoppers are all out there! I went to purdy's to get the smiley chocolates and the service was HORRIBLE. I waited awhile to even have the server acknowledge me, she was talking to an elderly gentleman who seemed to be asking endless questions, like he had never eaten a chocolate before. (She even gave him a free sample). Finally she walked towards me and asked me basically what I wanted. Not that it was said in a nice tone. I said I was wanting to get the smiley face chocolates and was almost going to leave. I didn't think that I had said it in a wrong tone, but she then commented on how busy it was, and that she was the only one there. I commented back " yeah we had waited for awhile and one guy left" I just made the comment, not realizing she would say "well patience is a virtue" in a snarky tone. I didn't think that was necessary. I have too been in customer service, and being polite is always the best policy even if your not happy or overwhelmed. I would have replied "I am so sorry you had to wait, how can I help you?".
Then the new walmart opened today. I took my two daughters and my one daycare girl. It was SWAMPED. Its a MEGA Walmart and we did not get to see everything either for the time that we were there, and the amount of people. They had alot of "stations" offering free samples. This one had chips I asked the two older girls if they wanted to try a sample, they said Yes. Then this other lady beside me in the aisle coming towards us asked her two kids. My eldest took hers, the lady grabbed one, then my daycare kid went to grab hers and the lady started to reach for it again. I was kinda shocked as the person doing the samples was having a hard time keeping up. She took her hand away and allowed my daycare girl to get it. Her friend then makes a comment about how her friend has good patience and would have blown up at me? Gosh what happened to taking turns?
Sorry for the vent. Sometimes things just kinda get you the wrong way and drive you crazy! I even had a client of mine, email me saying some mean/nasty things because shes not pregnant yet. I explained that she needed to wait until the month I provided her was over (Its only just begun) and to wait until its passed as EDD too before she emails me all mad. Its the 12th today. I provided her November as a connection. Sorry, I understand how frustrating the journey is for trying to conceive, I have been there I do truly understand....but the mean/rude emails are not necessary. They do hurt my feelings as I do help everyone and provide as much information as I can to help people be successful....but sometimes it takes time and patience, and its nothing I can do about that. I am always willing to do updates for people who have had both conceive month and EDD/Find out month pass by....all you have to do is ask:)
Venting is a good thing.. it helps to get things off your chest and release any emotions your holding on to because of the event... so heres your chance, comment in the section below about whats bugging you:)

People never cease to amaze me...

I posted the winners the other day for the contest. I waited for an email from the first place winner of the 50.00 paypal payment, giving me their information on where to send the money.. instead... I got this:)
Hey Cheri,
I hope you start to feel better. I cannot stand the thought of being sick so you have my sympathies.
I think its funny because for some reason in the back of my mind I just knew I was going to win this contest. Originally I entered the contest wanting to winning it for myself because like everybody else we all could think of different ways to spoil ourselves. But when I saw that Ty206 lost her mom earlier this month I thought if I did win I would want to try to pass it on to her if I was allowed to. Since I believe that because she lost her mom early October she could probably really use a day to spoil herself.
I mean if it is too much trouble for you or she does not want to accept it then I am fine with still accepting it.
Things like this, just excite me, and make me so happy. I know it makes me feel good to be able to do something nice for someone else, but I love to see the "pay it forward" happen! I am truely at a loss for words and so grateful to have you all for clients! I love meeting and talking with everyone and its always such a blessing... and then you have something like this happen, and its just the icing on the cake!
I just got a reply by from ty206 after being notified that shes the new winner
Hello Cheri,
YES I will definitly accept this gift! That is so generous of her! I will also share with with you how I spoiled myself :) I have created a paypal account let me know if there is anything else that I need to do.
Lately I think I have been feeling my moms presence. My sister was telling me that she woke up out of her sleep and could smell my mom on her hands. I have been searching on google for ways to help me connect with her and it has really helped me with dealing with things.
PS. Could you please tell Amanda I said thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so excited to spoil myself after this long hard month!
Thanks again cheri for everything you do!

So after she receives the payment and spoils herself, shes agreed to share what she did with everyone!

I wish I could say that was easy

I went back through ALL of Octobers posts, and located all the comments and tallied all of the entries. In total, 126 comments (thank you gals!) and out of those 126 comments, there were 40 people that were entered into the draw! I actually had my daughter come over and pick a name out of the entries. I wanted to be able to do it, but for two reasons could not. FIRST, I think that since I was the one doing the contest, it would not be "fair" to draw the name, and second, my guides were trying to tell me to award EVERYONE the prize! As thats not really something I can do, I decided to that the person who commented the most would win a different prize. Well, thought it was easy to do, only there are THREE women who have the same number of comments. So being the fair person I am, decided that those three women would all win the same "second place" prize.
Before I announce the winners and who won what, figured I would "rattle" about my own day.
I took my one daycare kid to kindergarten this afternoon and decided to do a bit of christmas shopping BY MYSELF! (my mother in law had my youngest). I get a call from my 7 year old saying shes sick. I can tell that shes not, but go and get her anyways from school. Explaining to her that this is a "once in a blue moon thing". I totally get being somewhere and just not really feeling up to it. I have on rare occasions been at my work (when I was not working from home) and decided to go home for the rest of the day.
When out and about and gathering my other items, finished my lunch I went into the book store. While in there I got this message from my guides "time to leave". As I had not finished my shopping and didn't realize I was in a rush, I got the impression that I was getting REALLY close to the "cutoff time" that I need to leave the mall by in order to make it back to the school in time to pick everyone up. I wondered what time it was, and got the impression that when I was done in the book store, it would be 2:05 - 2:07. I pay for the one book I have, head towards the doors and the clock above the doors reads 2:05. I thought that was pretty cool and headed to the vehicle. I leave the parking lot, and get into traffic and its now 2:07. I have been finding that the more I have been listening and paying attention to the little information they have been giving me, the more times I find that they are right. Its when you second guess what your hearing that your often going to run into trouble with your insight from your guides.
On another note, feeling so much better today! I still have a slight cough, and blowing my nose a little, but its SO MUCH better! I do apologize to the people who have had their reading delayed because of this nasty cold. I should be able to be all caught up by tomorrow night and back to my old cheerful Cheri self!
Okay, your probably thinking "enough already, get to the winners".. okay so here goes.
