So where does your luck come in?

This is something that I have been thinking about for the past few days. I know people say that they are lucky in love, or that when they gamble seem to be able to come with more money than they walked in with. Others are lucky in their jobs/careers or with friendships... Where does your luck come in?

For me, its not the lottery (although I still play hoping that one day!) I would consider myself lucky for my husband, but I would also say that it took alot of work and "mistakes" of finding Mr. Wrong before I found Mr. Amazingly Right. So where is my luck? Well it might sound funny, but my luck seems to be in getting into a line just before everyone else decides to line up. It seems like when I need to go somewhere there might be one or two more people in front of me, and then a minute goes by and then there are like 5-6 people behind me. Its almost like I am being followed! okay I am not, but hopefully you get the picture.

Today as a way to de-stress from the post below I took my daughters to the park as a way to clear my mind. After, going through the drive thru at 6:30pm to get the kids a quick bite of dinner, and my eldest daughter asks why no one is in the drive thru and we are the only ones. I commented that perhaps it was later in the evening and perhaps alot of people had already eaten. It was then that I looked behind me and four more cars pulled in behind us. This happens pretty much 85% of the time and I have noticed it before but never really thought that perhaps this is where my "luck" seems to sit. I dont always pick the best border line up, but do seem to be able to "beat the rush" when it comes to line ups!

So I am asking those of you who would like to win a reading (the family bypass) to take the next few days to pay attention to where your "luck" comes in. Perhaps you have already realized it, or perhaps in the next few days it will become apparent. Share in the comments section where your "luck" comes in and you are entered to win! I will announce the winner on SUNDAY

I believe my luck came in when I found my truly wonderful fiances. He makes me so happy and I feel nothing but loved when around him. I feel blessed to have found someone who completes my life.

I also believe my luck came in when getting my amazing pet rats! We connect on levels that are hard to believe. I truly think they understand me! They always can make me feel better when something upsetting has happened. I feel blessed to have a pet that can warm my heart so.

My luck comes from my husband whenever we do things together things just seem to go right but when i try to go out and do things myself say buy a lottery ticket or something i never win but when he buys it for me i win every time. Its even better at the casino he and in this case i am his good luck charm because he wins big time but as soon as i leave he starts losing.

My husband and I believe in the old "If it's meant to be, it'll happen" saying. Seems like when we think things are not going our way, something happens and our luck changes for the better. So while it may not be what we were hoping for to begin with, in the end, it always ends up being the right thing for us! :)

I can usually notice my luck very clearly when I’m shopping (of all things). Most times, if there is something special I’m looking for (it must be out of the ordinary), I can find it substantially on sale that day without having to search around.

For example, one morning my DP and I were talking about the need for a new TV stand. We searched around online for the perfect one, but we determined it would be too expensive to buy right now.

Later that day, we went to a local store to buy some other items, and there it was - on sale for about $200 cheaper than anywhere else! This has happened several times that I can remember - mostly with items that we've saved for. Too bad it doesn’t work for everyday items at the grocery store!! :)

As for my luck with lines, it’s pretty much non-existent. You can count on me to pick the wrong line every time! LOL

I don't need to enter the drawing but I thought I'd share my luck. I have luck with jobs. Whenever I've needed a job I didn't really have to search, they just fell into my lap.
I moved home to change colleges and a high paying job at a call center just happened to appear. Plus I met my husband there! Then I needed an easy part time job at the end of college and while at a video store I noticed they were hiring.
After I graduated I wanted a "real" job and my sister just happened to have a position open at her job. Then when that was ending there just happened to be a great job at my hisband's work. Finally, when my supervisor changed and I didn't want to work for him anymore, a job that was PERFECT for me opened up in the company.

I think my luck comes in when I'm searching for a job. I always seem to hit finding the right job at the right time and landing it.

I got my first job out of college that way, my first "real" newspaper job, and my current job.

Now, if only I could get called for the first round of interviews for the job I just put my resume in for... :)

I believe my luck comes in from having such a supportative group of friends and family. The past two years have been torture for my husband and I in the TTC front. Without my friends and family I'm not sure where we would be today. It's wonderful to have such a great support system behind you.

I hope this is what you are talking about, but I feel as though my luck is that if I want something bad enough then I will receive it (nothing really material wise). If I yearn for something long enough it just seems like the opportunity rises like the first two instances below. These are just the most significant examples.
My luck comes in meeting my partner and the story how it happened was interesting. There were too many "coincidences’", clues and signs that this relationship was going to play a significant role in my life. It was as though our lives were both on a certain path together and that we were going to meet no matter what.
Another situation I felt lucky was my son. I had a bad UTI and for some reason I was worried about infertility after eight or nine months trying to have a child. Some of my worry was that one of my female relatives after so many attempts could not conceive a child. Well, I thought about going on birth control and asked the doctor for a referral to a gynecologist. Little did I know I was crying that I wanted a child to God and was worried I would not conceive. I never made an appointment in time to see the gynecologist, in fact the same week I saw the doctor for the UTI and the same week that I prayed for a child I was ovulating. My partner and I conceived our son that same week. Oddly enough I felt as though I was pregnant without the signs and the test at that point. It was the best feeling in the world it seemed to look at my digital pregnancy test and see the words “pregnant.”
Smaller examples I have is that I always had good luck getting into the schools and programs that I wanted throughout life. Or I always seem to have exactly what I need to do something like the money for nursing school and extra classes outside the school that I needed. Or if I need something bad enough I also seem to receive it sooner or later.

My luck comes in at my workplace. In all my previous (and current)jobs, I have always had one very close colleague to have lunch with and to share the ups and downs of our everyday life. This usually makes the stress of the job so much more bearable.

My luck has come in whenever i truly realise that i am not always in control of everything that happens around me or with me. Whenever i raise my hands and admit that i've put my best into and whatever happens happens, well it happens!

Hmmm luck....I think hates me for the most part. I have noticed that luck and intuition seem to go hand and hand. I get lucky from time to time when I am looking for a certain item or needing something.

Even though I hate the saying, I do believe that things happen for a reason. After our sons died last year, I got a tattoo on my left shoulder that says, "Those who suffer most, Are rewarded in the end." I'm not the most perfect Catholic, but I do believe in that (came from the story of Jobe..my husband told me that saying in the hospital).

I can say that I have been very lucky at work, unlike some of my fellow co-workers (RIP fellow brothers and sisters). My luck is tested everyday in my job, so I can say that luck has cut me some slack.

Reality of Karma -
I would like to think I am the type of person who likes to help others in any situation (if possible)... If someone is in need - I genuinely want to make their life better or easier if I possess the power to do so.
Last evening is my most recent example - A coworker and I left at the same time from work - Her car was struck by another car, so I pulled over to make sure she was okay etc. All went well... and we were on our way. I suddenly realized! My MP3 player! I left it at the gym earlier today! Gah! Panic stricken, I went to the gym, surely feeling it was gone. Lucky for me - Someone handed it in! I immediately went to walmart and bought a gift card to leave it for that person who returned it. Surely it would have cost me more to replace it than leaving a reward! Plus, this MP3 player has been instrumental in getting me exercising again. It is truly invaluable to me. So, I believe one good turn deserves another. What goes around comes around. This is when my luck truly comes in ;) It's all about what you put out into the universe! xo

OKay, so I don't really have the best luck. Not to say that I have bad luck, just not great luck.
The only exception would be with money. Whenever I am down to my last dollar, or something comes along that I need money for, I receive the money. Whether it's a gift from my parents, a bonus at work, or another reason, it happens. I had a palm reading years ago, and that was one of the things that she saw. I would always be able to pay for what I needed. Nothing extravagant, but just what I need.
I'd call that lucky.
Now, I also do call myself lucky in my relationship. My husband is probably one of the nicest guys around. He treats me like I'm a diamond, and never takes me for granted. I am such a lucky woman.

To tell the truth I never have good luck nor bad. It's always in the gray area. Lol. I kinda have a theory though which makes since to me. I used all my my luck up finding my true love/husband :D.

I notice the same thing about lines although I am never quick enough to get in front.

I'm not really sure about luck but there have been many times that while I'm driving I suddenly think I better slow down or that maybe there's a road check ahead. The road check thing has happened a few times and has been true.

Today I was driving and I thought I should slow down and less than a mile down the road there were 5 cops and an overturned big rig in the road.

A couple of years ago coming home from work I thought how horrible it would be if I found my dog on the side of the road hit by a car. As I approached the house I panicked because the dog's lot was open. He was on the back porch and had been hit by a car.

So I don't know if it's really luck but it's quite strange at times and a little freaky.

I feel the luckiest when I am able to truly enjoy myself in whatever activity I am doing. Going fishing, and taking in the sights, sounds and smells, and being able to appreciate everything in that very moment is luck to me. It makes me feel 'lucky' at least :)

I'm not sure where my luck comes in, but I'm told by my friends and family that I'm a very lucky person. I've won two big trips, numerous movie passes, concert tickets, gift packs etc.
My husband says our luck comes from the 'fortune frog' that he recently bought for our house and believe it or not lots of good things have happened since the fortune frog came to live on the shelf in our living room.

My luck comes completely by accident. Could be when I look and look and dont find anything and then out of the blue a book that I have been looking for for years comes off the shelf or like now when my hubby and are looking to move like NOW... I look for months and months to find nothing or get turned down because of unknown reasons and my husband looks online Once and bam we have appointments made same day and he gets calls back me Nothing... lol well we shall see what happens. We need a place soon so hoping to get a 3 bedroom that is in our budget in our area.

My luck comes in when other people need something they take me shopping with them - I find what they need after they looked through a whole rack or pile. It usually is exactly what they came for anyway.

Life is funny and luck is all around we just have to be open to it.

Well im not sure if I would call myself lucky (like you i would really like to win the lottery!) but i think things happen for a reason and if one thing doesn't work out it wasn't the right time, something else works out at a better time. For example, buying a house you find the right one, its everything you want but you missed the opportunity as someone has already put an offer in or are buying it. A few weeks go by and you do find a house and its something that just came up in the listings. Divine timing as they say. I think also keeping a positive attitude helps out too.
