Becoming Psychic - 10 Ways to Boost Your Intuitive Abilities
Posted by
Cheri22
I found a great article that I think that will be of great use to the ones who are trying to strengthen or open up their psychic abilities!
With the dawn of the Age of the Aquarius in the 1960's, the idea of developing psychic abilities hit a new stride. While interest in intuitive processes has grown and decreased at different periods over the last 40 years, there is a still a large amount of focus on psychic self-development. If you and your psychic impressions are strangers, how do you get to know each other?
Meditate: As a way of quieting the mind and opening yourself to your intuition, meditation is an amazing tool. Where meditation is particularly valuable is in its ability to quiet the mind and create focus. Controlling mental static can make it easier to tell when you're tapping into psychic impressions.
What's That?: Intuitive impulses will present themselves differently to everyone. The first step to utilizing your psychic powers rests in paying attention to them. Intuition can often appear in ways that are easy to ignore. Logic may seem to be absent and it can feel risky even stating what you feel. Even if you don't share your psychic impressions with others, document them in writing for your own posterity.
Practice: Spend a little time every day trying to connect with your psychic side. Find a space that feels comfortable to you, whether it's your bedroom or a local park. Think of dreams that you've had or hesitation you've felt in certain situations. Spend time with a deck of card, trying to "see" what suit or number is on the card before you draw the card. Just like your sense of taste changes when you pay attention to what you eat, focusing on your psychic impressions will heighten them.
Training Wheels: Many items like crystals, Tarot cards, tea leaves, pendulums and scrying bowls can be used to help develop psychic ability. Find a tool that appeals to you and use it with the intention of building upon your psychic talents.
Get Your Rocks: Energy is a part of any psychic situation. Learning to feel, sense and measure it will help with developing intuition. Working with crystals can help make you aware of the various levels of energy that each item on earth has.
Work With Your Strengths: Psychic abilities, like with every other skill in life, can vary from person to person. Just like some people see better than others, others are more clairvoyant than others. In terms of psychic powers, there are different areas of skill: clairvoyance (seeing the future), clairaudience (hearing the future), clairsentience (feeling what others feel) are the main ones.
It's important to determine where you are most comfortable so that you can work your strengths to your advantage. If you're a natural clairsentient but only look for clairvoyant impressions, you will be missing out and may even convince yourself you're not psychic. Having skill in one area doesn't mean that you can't or won't develop in others so work with what you have.
Find a Friend: Working with a like-minded psychic buddy can give you more options in terms of practice and support. With a partner, you can try distance experiments in clairvoyance as well as mind reading. The paranormal also happens to be a misunderstood subject; having a friend to discuss experiences and concerns can ease tension and increase comfort levels.
Visualize, Listen or Feel: Working with psychic skills requires you to relearn your senses. There is regular sight and clairvoyance - when clairvoyance appears, it can seem like you're imagining things. You have to relearn what these senses feel like to be able to recognize when they appear.
Relax: One of the keys to develop your psychic impressions is to relax. Tension and stress will affect your ability to perceive intuition and will reduce your ability to trust in what you feel. Psychic development requires a fair amount of faith in yourself. Do whatever you need to relax, support yourself and foster a healthy self-relationship.
Rome Wasn't Built In A Day: With every new psychic experience, your abilities and strength will have a chance to increase. Give yourself a chance to grow psychically and relax any expectations you have in terms of progress. Many people spend a lifetime following the path of psychic development; every day, your perception and intuition will get stronger.
The biggest asset in developing psychic abilities is have the desire to be psychic. Self-belief goes a long way to recognizing and increasing psychic potential. Once you've tapped into your psychic abilities, your life will slowly transform for the better. So get out there and get sensing!

Fate?
Posted by
Cheri22
I think that this is something that comes up quite frequently in life. Often wondering just how much is fate, and planned in our life and just how much control we have. Before we come here, we draw up a blue print of our lives. This is our life plan. What we plan to learn while we are here, the lessons we hope to learn, the people we will meet that will help us on our journey. So often, when in a horrible situation, people often contemplate that perhaps its "fate" and that they need to stick it out.... Well is that really the case?
I think that in the grand scheme of things, a lesson is always around when something is unpleasant. Its up to us to try and learn it. Does it mean that we need to stick it out in order to learn that particular lesson? I think that depends on you. Overall, the blueprint is just that. a guideline. A way for us to continue on our path to forever learn. But as like most blue prints here, things get changed and altered.. expanded and make more room. Additions are added (like a blue print when building a house). So if your unhappy in your life, do you need to stay that way? Thinking that fate has brought you to this point? No. The choice is yours to make the best of what has come, to find the solution/lesson here and learn it, and be able to move on. If its just too overwhelming and depressing your soul then its time to move forward and leave that behind. Your blue print will allow for this, there is room to be flexible. What happens then is that the lesson is brought up again, perhaps with someone else. The opportunity is, that perhaps in this new situation, might be easier to solve and learn.
So if your in a relationship with someone , and your being treated unfairly, and everything you do ends up with the same results, you have that choice.. the ability to take charge of your life and decide that you are going to be happy and that you choose to move on.
This goes for any job, friendship, love...etc.
I believe as I have always said, that everything happens for a reason. Than than racing forward to try and force things to come to you will often leave you feeling overwhelmeed and unsure. For example... I currently also run a daycare during the day (I had no daycare kids during the summer) I have one family right that has two kids, which work out part time. I thought perhaps having another child might be nice, but then also thinking how nice it is to have a few days "off". I thought of trying to locate a family with a child that might fit the situation. I was a bit stressed/worried about if I should or if I should not. I actually commented to a dear friend of mine today about this very situation. Eventually telling her that I was going to let go of the worry. That I knew that what was meant to be would be, and that if another child was meant to be here with us, that it would happen. And guess what... I got a phone call today, from a mom who's step daughter is friends with my eldest. She needs care of her child, which will also be flexible and possbily be part time which is in a similar age group to what I am currently working with. It will fit right in with this and is exactly what I wanted!
So also sometimes, allowing yourself to be open to opportunity is also a good thing. because when your so focused on obtaining something, at times you might not realize that your pushing it away. When you release the stress and worry things usually have a way of falling into place. So put faith in yourself, and trust in the ways of the world. That things will happen as they can, that you can wait and see what happens, and allow the solution to come, or you can take charge and move forward to the next lesson that will come your way. Just make sure that you trust in your instinct and do not allow your spirit to be depressed. You are worthy of love.. and it needs to start by loving yourself.
Hopefully my rambling makes sense. Its been something I have been meaning to post for a few days now, but time seems to be going faster than you expect it:)

Okay, I managed to fix ONE computer out of the two! My laptop which at this time, is so much more important than the other one! This is the one I use to do all of my readings at night and so much more important to be able to use. I actually spent the better part of today trying to fix it as it just seemed to be getting worse, and worse, and slower and slower.. okay you get the point. I noticed on this one part of my computer it had an option to "restore to a previous point". Hmmm.. I clicked on it, worried I would wipe my computer clean. It actually allowed me to restore the computer to August 6th, 2010, which was 5 days before I downloaded whatever program that caused all of these problems to begin with. So basically anything installed after that day, no longer exists! I could be naieve in thinking that it fixed the problem, but everything seems to be working perfectly now so I guess time will tell.
Another exciting thing. I found out that James Van Praag is coming to town! Okay, so hes coming close to town. It will take me about 2 hours to get there. He is doing a small venue and I bought my tickets! My sister and I are going to attend together and I am hoping that my mother will come through. If she does not, I will understand that there might be someone else who needs his help more. I have read alot of his books which I find very intriguing and his website is really helpful and full of insight. (Hes also on facebook!). Hes one of the people who started the Ghost Whisperer.
Has anyone else read any of James Van Praag books? Which ones did you enjoy?

Sometimes, computers drive me nuts...

I do most of my internet and computer related "stuff" with my lap top now. It enables me to still be with my girls and see what they are doing, and be upstairs at bedtime to ensure that the two year old does not get up and start looking for me. (the other computer is downstairs).
Well, two days ago, I tried to download a program onto my laptop. (Winmx) I was told that there were some people on there in a chat room that my mom talked too and were saying somethings that perhaps would shed some more light on her passing, or perhaps could just share some nice things about my mom. I tried downloading it from some site....nothing happened... then I tried again.. nothing.,.. I tried another site, got it downloaded, installed it and could not get it to connect. I even tried downloading the program on my computer downstairs in the hope of being able to use it on that one since it was directly hooked into the internet. Nope.. not working. Oh well, lesson learned, program uninstalled.
Then I start getting screwy things happening with the computer..its working slower, its not navigating the internet as well. Google shut my account down temporarily saying suspicious activity was happening (I had to call in and verify that I was the right person on the account and they give you a verification code to enter to unlock it. I searched everything in my inbox, and can not locate that anyone has been in there. I ran everything I could possibly thing on the computer to clean it up and look for virus, spyware, malware...etc.. everything is coming up clean. I have bought new software to clean up the computer and check and again everything is saying its fine.. I even changed my password (which I can't see how anyone would have gotten in the first place?) So if any of you "computer savy" people can help I would be grateful!
I had no internet at all on the lap top yesterday so could not reply to any emails at all at night. The computer downstairs was running so slow that you would have sworn it was at least 30 years old! So I think that I might have to give in and take it in somewhere to have them clean it up and fix this for me!
On another note, I was at a birthday party today, and they were talking about James Van Praugh is coming to town (about a 2 hour drive from me). Its a smaller more intimate venue so I am hoping I can go. I really like him! Perhaps my mom will come through for him to say hi!
So please give me a few days to get this computer issues under control so if I am late replying to your email, this would be why!
Blog contest to follow in the next few days. I wont be able to offer the web cam readings for a little while. Although very successful and alot of fun, I really think that its a disadvantage that I am on the west coast. Which means that the time frame I am available right now, everyone else is probably asleep. When things get more organized later in the year with the kids in school I should be able to offer this during the day which I think would work so much better!

Here I am! I am sorry for the late posting. Its been a bit of a weird week for me. The last three days I have felt off, a little depressed and just not myself. I have gotten a bit behind with things and spent some time trying to get it all back caught up.
Today has been an odd day. I cleansed myself this morning to rid of any negative energy that I thought might have been making me feel depressed. Yes, I do realize that it hasn't been that long since my mom passed and its obviously still affecting me a little. But did you know that sometimes negative energy can attach to you without you realizing it and making you feel sad and depressed? Sometimes all it takes is a "dusting off" and cleansing your spirit and you feel good as new! If your interested in learning how I have posted it below in other posts (do a search for negative energy and you should locate) or I can repost.
Today my arm hurt like crazy. I think that its Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, I know I type quite a bit. I managed to get quite a bit of emails replied to today, scheduled and completed. I cleaned the house, got some stuff checked off my "to do" list, and then now I feel like I have an eye infection in my left eye. My friends daughter had one, and I was in contact with her but made sure not to really touch her or have her touch me. Perhaps its too late. Hopefully the kids don't have it as well. That would suck!
So the winner of the blog post we just had was number 11!! Please email me @ cheri22@gmail.com with BLOG WINNER in the subject line so I can let you know when your reading was completed.
Sometime this week, I am going to post a video post about how to cleanse your spirit and protect yourself from any negative energy that might be currently around you.
So thank you everyone for your patience and understanding! You are all amazing!

A bit of this, and a bit of that

It seems like lately I feel like I am in a time warp. I know that really sounds funny but this summer really has flown by and it seems like I have been so busy, but in reality would say that I have been quite good. Still time to relax and still things to do.
I have been missing my mom alot (yes, here we go again! lol), and really trying to put things into perspective. Why and how. I really get the impression that it links to depression. She suffered from depression from the time I was young until I was 21, so to find out that she was suffering again from it kinda put things into better perspective. Now with that being said, had I chosen a different profession, I would have surely gone into something that would allow me to help people with depression.
I was thinking about my mom and her depression and the words "reflexology and depression" were linked. I thought this to be kinda strange as I have NEVER heard of this before. I decided I would try and google it and see what I could come up with. I was curious if this was something even done or linked before. You would not believe the information I found!
I know so much these days that people start to suffer from depression and most people are worried about taking the medication. I know that Dr's are quite to prescribe the "quick fix" but sometimes its more than that, and requires a bit more help.
So why not look into a more natural route? Here is a link I found that I thought was interesting. I am sure if you really wanted to explore this route, you can google it and find even more information.

Today is my 9th wedding anniversary. My husband and I went out for dinner tonight just the two of us. I can probably count on my one hand how many times we go out for dinner with out our girls. It was nice, but now I am full, tired, and gassy!
So lets have some fun... post a comment in the comment section and your entered to win a sibling express reading (15.00 value). I will annouce the winner on SUNDAY.
