Its that day of the week!

I am just about to head to bed but figured I would post this give way now before I forget. This week I am giving away a reading from LEAH! I am going to make this really really easy!! What is your favorite online recipe site? I am always looking for good things to make and seem to be hitting a bit of a dry cycle right now and not very creative. I will announce the winner on Monday!

For those of you celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, hope you have a great one. We are having our turkey on Saturday. Should be fun. Believe it or not, I bought a "pre-done" turkey package. The turkey is already cooked, you just need to heat it up for 2.5 hours and the package comes with everything you could possibly ask for. The stuffing, potato's, the cranberry sauce, the buns, and the pumpkin pie.. is that cheating? lol. The turkey usually gets me a bit of anxiety. I am always worried it wont be ready in time for the guests, or that I did not defrost it for long enough or cook it right.. or that you have to get it started so early in the morning. This time, I figured I would take the more relaxing way where I can just stick it in knowing its going to be done and not have to worry about timing, Being able to relax with my guests rather than stressing about the turkey. I have heard that the turkey is good so I have my fingers crossed!!! Anyways done it this way?

Don't forget the October monthly special posted in a post below.

I'm always watching the food network, so I often visit www.foodnetwork.com. I also like www.topsecretrecipes.com. They have copycat recipes, although some are not free. I look for the free ones and try them. It is surprising how close they come to actual restaurant and product recipes.

My favorite is http://allrecipes.com

I like it because you can type in a couple of ingredients that you have at home and recipes ideas come up.

I also subscribe to the America Test Kitchen Magazine, the website has lots of good recipes:

Good luck with the turkey!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. It will be just the 2 of us this year. I'm trying to decide if I want to cook a turkey or not.

I like to cook dutch oven sometimes, it takes a TON of work but the food tastes sooo good. So here is some of my favorite web sites. You can make the dutch oven recipes in your kitchen.

The pioneer women site just have really good and tasty recipes plus canning information. Really good web site too.

I love allrecipes.com as well. I use it all the time. You can sort by the rating that others who have tried the recipe have given the recipe. There are tons of comments/suggestions about each recipe. You can save each recipe into your own "cookbook" and even have them make and mail to you a real cookbook. Allrecipes has made me very popular at work on potluck days!

recipes.robbiehaf.com
This site has not only copycat recipes to copy some of your favorite recipes from certain restaurants but also original recipes to try! I love adding certain things to make a recipe my own such as certain pureed veggies (such as squash) to spaghetti sauce to bump up the vitamin content and for kids who are picky they cannot tell the difference in taste! Such a bonus!!

I know I'm late. But I wanted to add this site. I use it all the time. I have picky eaters so I keep a look out for new things to try.

I've had a lot of luck lately with http://www.recipezaar.com/. The reviews are good, and almost any recipe you can imagine is there.

Well, lets see, I use a lot of online recipes, my hubby is from Caribbean, and I love making caribbean food, so if you want easy, deffinately go with allrecipes, if you want something that is a little different and from a different part of the world, I will give you a site, it has amazing food on their!! AMAZING!!!!

http://www.caribbeanchoice.com/recipes/main.asp
This site, you get to choose from each island and their recipes so fun!! They also have some very simple recipes, like some kabobs, and stuff Jerk kabobs are amazing!!

http://www.recipeisland.com/
this is also a good one to, but the one above is better, they deffinately do a great job with separating the islands here to, you are going to get different recipes for the islands, it could have the same name but things are different that you actually put in it, that is what I love about caribbean food..

If you want any help with any of the food, they may sound scary but once you eat them they really taste phenominal, and if you want any of my personal recipes, feel free to e-mail me!!
Thanks Hope you have a great thanksgiving!!
