Holistic Chiropractor and Fertility

A very good friend of mine who is on a ttc journey herself has recently been in contact with a chiropractor due to a pinched nerve. During her treatment she learned that they take a more Holistic approach to the care of their patients. He immediately was able to point out a few problems, able to tell her which side she would ovulate on based on the problems her body was experiencing that she was aware of but did not realize the connection. There were many things that he was able to point out, and will help her with this and hopefully help make her ttc journey alot easier. I told her again today, that I really truly believe that everything happens for a reason... and if she had not gotten a pinched nerve, she might not have located this chiropractor or the encouraging treatment that he can provide!

I googled Holistic Chiropractor for conceiving and was instantly shown the article that I linked below. It offers good insight, provides some more information and perhaps opens other opportunities to explore/google other connections and more information:) I thought perhaps I would share for those of you on the ttc journey and looking for some more approaches for ttc.

A dream for real life

I didn't sleep well last night....heard a noise outside our window around 4am, and was instantly awake. It was more than likely an animal of some sort, but still enough to startle me and make it really hard to get back to goto sleep. After finally going back to sleep, I had a dream, that my grandfather died. Hes in his late 70's in real life, is not really doing well, is suffering from dementia and most nights drinks himself silly. Anyways, in the dream, I dreamt that he died.. I was crying in my dream, and being really sad that he had passed, and remember going to my grandmothers house for the wake. There she had two tables set up, and decorated in a christmas theme. There were mini trees on each table and the table clothes and accessories were all christmas themed. I remember helping my grandmother move the clothes around in the closet for her, and half of them were baby girls clothes, and the other half were baby boy clothes. All brand new with tags. I thought it was strange, but helped her anyways. I then realize that I felt my grandfathers presence. I knew he was there, and when I looked over at the couch, there he was sitting there. I was shocked, because he did not look as he did right now, but appeared as if he was closer to 30, and he seemed happy. I know when we pass on to the other side, that we all appear to be in our 30s so when I awoke, the first thing i did was call my mom to see if everything was okay. (which it was)

She then went on to tell me what has been happening with my grandfather, I guess last week he "escaped" and went into their car, the neighbour called my grandmother to let her know he was there. (he is NOT allowed to drive legally) When she got down there, he told her that she was gone to their cabin for too long looking for red riding hood and that he was going to go and find her. (first off, they do NOT have a cabin!)

My grandmother is trying to get him assessed to get some help as shes just beside herself with trying to do things for him. He drinks EXCESSIVELY, is verbally abusive, goes to bed really early and often trying to demand that she does too (around 6pm) and then since he goes to bed so early is up early and often demanding she wake up. So shes getting no sleep. She gets very limited breaks from him to go out as hes constantly worried about where she is going, often not remembering when or where. She can go to the store for his medication for 10 minutes and he tells her she was gone all day.

I got ahold of a woman who works for the Alzheimer's society here who can help my grandmother get my grandfather properly assessed. The company that usually goes, wants to go in the morning and hes always at his best as hes not started his drinking. The woman on the phone said that she can get it arranged so that they come later in the evening when he is his "usual" self, and all I needed to know was who was doing the assessments and they would take care of the rest. After calling my grandmother, and explaining what i needed and how i planned to help, she said she would wait till the assessment on the 11th or March (morning appt) and see what happens there. Problem is, that she tells my grandfather that they are coming, and because its first thing in the morning and he has not gotten into the alcohol yet, hes usually quite charming and not like he is later.
I am frustrated. I have no idea how to help my grandmother. She complains alot about what is happening, how overwhelmed she is... I can only imagine what she and my grandfather both go through with his illness......

So, has anyone ever dealt with this before, and can give me any ideas on how to help without stepping on any ones toes?

How to get Pregnant - Fertility Signs

I am sure that most of you already know most fertility signs, but thought I would provide this information that goes a bit more indepth for those that might not realize or know some of these signs.

Your body sends you fertility signals every day. Learn to read them, and you can get pregnant quickly, and maybe even choose the sex of your baby! There are three methods of fertility prediction: evaluating cervical mucus, charting basal body temperatures, and checking your cervix. With a little know-how, you can plan your next pregnancy and achieve your fertility goals.

Method #1: Evaluating Your Cervical Mucus
For most women, evaluating cervical mucus is the easiest and most accurate method of detecting fertility. It requires no pencils, paper, or invasive techniques, but merely an increased awareness of monthly changes you usually ignore.

You may have noticed this fertile-quality cervical mucus at some point. It is slippery, stretchy, and clear, kind of like egg whites. It may appear in your underwear, in the toilet, or on toilet paper when you go to the bathroom. You may have mistaken it for the lubrication that appears during sexual arousal. This is easy to do, because both are clear and wet. However, fertile cervical mucus can be distinguished because it is thicker, occurs monthly and independently of sexual arousal, and does not easily dissolve in water. In water, arousal fluid will dissolve, but cervical mucus will ball up in a small mass and sink.

After approximately five days of menstrual discharge, you will probably notice a period of a few days when you have no vaginal discharge (called “dry days”). Then, as fertility approaches, discharge begins to appear. It may start out sticky, pasty, or creamy as fertility draws nearer. When it reaches egg white quality, your body is telling you that your fertility is peaking.

The number of days of egg white quality mucus varies from woman to woman.
Generally, the final day of egg white cervical mucus is the day you are most fertile, and the ultimate target day for intercourse. Of course, you will not know except in retrospect which day is the final day!

To get pregnant, you could simply have sex on every day of egg white mucus. For most couples, simply recognizing this fertile mucus is enough to make pregnancy happen! For others, however, another variable to consider is the fertility of the male partner. If his sperm count is low, some specialists would recommend having sex only every other day, so that sperm is available for conception to occur with each ejaculation.

Method #2: Taking Your Basal Body Temperature
Perhaps the best known of fertility prediction methods, and certainly the easiest to discuss in polite company, is the daily measurement of basal body temperature. Though doctors say it may be less reliable than observation of cervical mucus, it is recommended that the two methods be used together for maximum effectiveness.

Prior to ovulation, a woman’s basal body temperature is generally lower. Day to day temperatures vary, but remain in the comparatively low range. After ovulation occurs, a woman’s temperature rises suddenly, or “spikes.” Thereafter, temperatures remain high until the start of the next cycle. To get pregnant, sex should occur immediately before the temperature spike is observed, at the most fertile time. (Unlike the cervical mucus method, the basal body temperature method cannot predict impending fertility. The spike in temperature is seen after ovulation has already occurred, so if you wait to have intercourse until you see your temperature rise, you may be too late. However, if you use this method to chart several cycles, you may discover that they are regular, and that you can predict how many days into your cycle you usually ovulate.)

The basal body temperature method requires a bit more effort and quite a few more rules, but once you understand it, it should take less than five minutes of your time per day. In addition, you will need to obtain or create a chart for recording your daily temperatures. These charts can be found free by doing an online search, or they can be photocopied from a book. Temperatures on the graph generally run from about 97 degrees to 99 degrees, with a mark for every tenth of a degree in between. When taking and recording your temperature, there are a set of guidelines you should follow:

Take your temperature first thing each morning, before getting out of bed or doing anything else. If you are using a mercury thermometer, shake it down the night before and place it on your nightstand. (Shaking down the thermometer in the morning can elevate your body temperature.)

Use a special thermometer for basal body temperature. These can be found at any drugstore. A thermometer made to detect fever may not be sensitive enough.

Take your temperature either orally or vaginally, but make sure to use the same route each time. Do not use ear thermometers, as they are thought to be less accurate.

Try to take your temperature at the same time each day. If you sleep in, your temperature will tend to rise about a tenth of a degree for each half hour you sleep past your normal waking time.
Take your temperature after at least three hours of sleep. If you get out of bed an hour before your alarm goes off in the morning to use the bathroom, your temperature will be falsely elevated. It is better to record your temperature a bit early, if need be, than to check it after getting up.

Make a dot or a circle for your temperature each day, and connect the dots with a line, so you can see patterns.

If you think one day’s temperature might be falsely high or low because of difference in waking time or illness, you should chart it, but do not connect it to the rest of your line. Make a note to yourself about the possible reason for the discrepancy.

If your temperature falls between two numbers, record the lower of the two.
Observe your chart for the classic pattern: a series of lower temperatures, followed by a temperature spike (ovulation), and then a series of high temperatures. If your graph matches this pattern, you can be fairly certain that your most fertile day was on or slightly before the day of the temperature spike.

Method #3: Examining Your Cervix
Your cervix is the entrance to your uterus, located at the upper end of your vagina. Obviously, you cannot examine it with your eyes. Instead, you must do so using your tactile senses (with the tip of your finger). For this reason many women shy away from this method. If your desire to get pregnant overpowers any squeamishness you may have, you can gain good information from this procedure. But, unlike the other methods, it may take more than one cycle to master.

To check your cervix, you should follow these guidelines:

Since you will be using the middle finger of your dominant hand, make sure that this fingernail is trimmed and not sharp. Wash your hands with soap and water. Begin checking your cervix daily after your menstrual cycle has ended. Try to check it at the same time each day.
The best position for checking your cervix is squatting, but you can also put one leg up (or use whatever position you might use to insert a tampon). Check your cervix in the same position each day.

Insert the middle finger of your dominant hand into the back of your vagina, slowly and gently while remembering to breathe and relax. You should soon feel your cervix.

When you are not fertile, your cervix will feel hard, like the tip of your nose. It will be in a low position, closed, and free of fertile quality mucus. (However, if you have ever vaginally delivered a child, your cervix may always be slightly open. It is important to monitor how it changes as the month progresses.)

As the fertile phase approaches, your cervix begins to feel soft, like your lips. It rises to a higher position and opens, in preparation for the entrance of sperm. Checking your cervix may allow you to find fertile quality cervical mucus, even if you have never observed it before externally. Again, it is important to compare how your cervix feels at this time relative to earlier in the month. After a couple of cycles, you should begin to be able to judge your level of fertility based on the“ripeness” of your cervix.

As a side note, if you notice small bumps on your cervix, do not worry. These are nabothian cysts, and they are perfectly normal.

Updated Pregnancy picture

For those of you following along and wanting to see an updated pregnancy picture, here is a quick one of me at 26 weeks and 3 days (today)

I had to go for my glucose test today (took an hour) and am I the only one that likes the sugary drink? To me tastes just like Orange Crush pop! lol.

Blog Contest

As you all remember, every second thursday I give away a reading done by Tarot cards from Brooke777. Tonight is that very night!

So to participate in this blog contest, you need to tell me the month that Brooke777 was born. you can do this by using your intuition or channeling your spirit guides for this info and posting in the comments section your answer (include your email address as well) or by using a pendulum or ring on a string and writing out the 12 months. The "instrument" will swing up and down or from side to side to indicate a yes answer or around in circles to indicate a no answer. If you get more than one yes, put those aside, and then re-do the "yes" answers until you have narrowed it down to one.

I will annouce the winner tomorrow during the day. If more than one person got it right, I will put the potential winners into a hat and draw out one name!

Good luck!

Open blog night - Psychic Abilities while pregnant

as promised, I figured we would cover this topic on the open blog night. I find it very fasinating on how when pregnant, more times than not, women become more "open" to their abilities than when not pregnant. I know that for me, I have not noticed a change in the way that I access information or how strong readings come in, just because I am pregnant, which is probably to do with the fact that I was already open to this information coming through.

I can not tell you how many women I have talked to who have had experiences of spiritual awakening of themselves when pregnant. How many women have been able to connect with their unborn child and really know who they are expecting. My current boss has "met" her son and seen what he looked like at 17 even though he was just born in September.

I know for me, my dreams are a bit more vivid and detailed. They don't always make sense, but are really funny. Last night, I dreamt I was up at my uncles cabin, with my co-workers and some family and friends. He has remodeled this cabin (which in reality he has not) Into more of a labryinth so you can play laser tag! Which of course we did, crawling through and running around. In the dream I had the "olsen" twins come in and they were wearing some odd costumes, but in my dream it was perfectly normal for them to be wearing this.. almost like "diapers" type costume.

I remember thinking that this dream is odd.. but writing it down, I now remember asking for a confirmation that this little baby inside me was a girl.. and to be shown two girls (Mary-kate & Ashley olsen are twins and sisters) is another confirmation that yes, this is a baby girl.

Okay, back with todays topic. I like to find articles of interest online that relate to exactly what I think but can't always put into such detailed writing. I have copied and pasted the portion that is relevant to todays topic and agree with it completely.

(Taken from http://www.psychicchat.com/index.php?file=columndetail&Id=5BDDFE55-BCB0-4801-B56A-D2A8A3BE1BA2&ColumnID=9AB39599-1CE7-11D5-BA9C-00C04FA0788A)
As for why pregnancy is so often a time of awakening for women, I have a few theories. First, pregnancy can be a very stressful, anxious time for many women, especially first-time mothers.

Personally, I have never felt more vulnerable or out of control than when I was pregnant. Knowing that you have no choice but to surrender to pregnancy and childbirth could prove very unsettling for anyone with control issues. Pregnant women are also literally channels to the spirit world, as they are bringing souls through to this world from the other side. This opens something of a portal to all sorts of intuitions and other spiritual phenomena, which can blow a woman's mind open to all kinds of new possibilities.

Also, when a woman is carrying a highly spiitual child, it's natural for the child to influence her own vibration. This is sort of like being in the presence of a guru non-stop for nine months. While I believe that most children have higher vibrations than their parents because we are all evolving, if a woman is carrying a very psychic or spiritual child, odds are good that at least during the pregnancy, her own vibration will rise, her psychic abilities will suddenly kick in, etc.

Pregnancy is also a time when many women cultivate a deeper sense of peace and love. They may take better care of themselves than ever before, and slow down to just be for the first time in their lives. They may begin to ponder life and where we all come from as they never have before. They may also feel very happy and grateful for the child they've conceived, and all of these will raise a woman's vibration, which will naturally lead to higher spiritual experiences.

This brings me to the greatest reason I believe that pregnant women often experience spiritual awakening or the sudden development of new psychic powers. Pregnancy is one of the only times women have both a very high vibration and a very strong connection to a soul in the spirit world. Because their vibration is high, many pregnant women are able to consciously perceive signs and messages from the spirit of their unborn baby.

Psychic Abilities while pregnant

I have a storey of an encounter here that someone has sent to me that I wanted to post and share with everyone. I know that alot of people are alot more intuned with their abilities while pregnant, and some even are able to communicate with their unborn-children. My boss actually saw a vision of her son, at the age of 17 even before she found out she was pregnant with a boy. My friend Jeni (as in Ask Jeni) actually has very vivid dreams of her baby, things that sound a bit wierd when shes experincing them, but is later able to match exactly what it means.

Tuesdays open blog night will try and cover more information about Pregnancy and Psychic Awareness. Until then, see below for the storey:)

Hi Cheri. I was browsing your blog a little earlier today and I was surprised to know that I do actually have a story to tell about a weird encounter. While pregnant with my daughter, I had the opportunity to become very close with her paternal grandfather. He was terminally ill at that time and I knew that it was only a matter of time before he would pass. He let it be known while he was alive that he planned to "still be kicking" when his first grandchild was born. Unfortunately, he passed in my eighth month of pregnancy. He passed in the afternoon, and starting that night I began seeing him. In fact, I saw him every night for 7 nights straight. Every night it was the same thing. He stood next to my bedside and he looked at me with a content look on his face while laying his hand on my very pregnant belly. I knew that it had given me chills when it happened and every time during the rest of the pregnancy when I had told people of it. I was scared that it meant that my daughter would go to be with him before she was born. Now, looking back on things, I know that it meant exactly the opposite. He was letting me know that he would be watching over her until it was time for her to be with me. During my daughter's birth, she was in severe distress. Her heart rate was dropping quickly and was dropping to 40bpm alot of times. My doctor refused to do a ceserean to save my daughter's life. If was another 2.5 hours before my daughter was born. All 5 family members were in tears already thinking that she would have many problems after her birth being so prolonged with such a low heart rate. To everyone's surprise, my daughter was born perfectly healthy--perfect in every way. You couldn't even tell that there had been such complications during delivery when looking at her just moments after birth!! I truly believe that her grandfather is her protector and he was there with her, and with me in that hospital room! Looking back on the whole situation I think that he was showing himself to me to let me know that everything was going to be just fine and to not worry. As a side note, while pregnant with my daughter, I also experienced a high level of pregnancy induced psychic abilities. I can't explain, but I always just knew things. I think that this manifestation was due to that as I've never experienced anything like this ever since then. Everything seems to have just gone away after pregnancy....I get little bits here and there now that she is 5, but NOTHING to compare to while I was pregnant. I would LOVE to see a blog on psychic abilities while pregnant, as I know that some other women have experienced this too!!
Thanks,Mindy

Learning to read tarrot cards....

I know that most of you already know that Brooke777 does her readings through tarrot cards and I do believe that Jennyrenny uses them as well. I know that they both have very extensive amount of time with working with them and both extremely good at it.

I know that sometimes its nice to be able to do a quick read for yourself. More often than not, most people with psychic gifts can not read themselves in most situations, and I do believe that a tarrot card deck at times can help get around that. Mostly by pointing the way in the right direction, offering insight and guideance.

I know that there are TONS of decks out there to try, books to buy..etc and its really hard to figure out which one is best. Perhaps Brooke777 can answer the question on best deck, but I found a site that is offering free online courses for tarrot readings. You just sign up by email address and a login name and they will send you information. According to this site its completely free!

Thought others might be interested in learning this form, so here is the link to the site! http://www.free-tarot-reading.net/learn/

I also located another site that has alot of information about Tarrot cards that I found to be really interesting :)
http://www.readtarot.com/

I would still suggest if you plan on getting a more indepth reading through tarrot cards to goto someone with alot of experience, as they know all the cards/layouts and proper interpretations, but there is nothing stopping you from learning it yourself and helping to gain guidance in your life as well.

Please please please everyone!!!

When sending me an email and requesting a prediction, please add my email address (cheri22@gmail.com) to your "safe" list. Either as a contact or what have you. Especially for those using yahoo.com or yahoo.ca for their email addresses. I have NO IDEA why, but for some reason, people useing these email addresses are NOT getting my emails. I have no way of knowing that someone has not recieved my reply emails unless I get an email from someone again asking where their prediction is.

I will try a few different things to try and get someone thier reply. I will reply from my gmail account, I try from my home personal account, I have even resorted to sending .25cents through paypal as a "Refund' To trigger a message! lol.

So, as mentioned, when ordering a prediction or even sending me an email, PLEASE add me to your contact list so you can be assured that you are going to get my emails!

I am currently on schedule for predictions that were scheduled for Feb 14th. If you have been told a scheduled date BEFORE FEb 14th and still have yet to receive your prediction, please email cheri22@gmail.com with "missing prediction" in the subject line and I will try and locate if yours has been sent but not recieved.

Things really do happen for a reason

the inspirational storey that I am posting tonight might seem "sad" to have this happen to her, but in reality can actually be quite positive. I really believe that everything happens for a reason. And although as a young child the reason was probably no where to be seen, as an adult shes able to look back and see where she is today BECAUSE it did happen. Does not make it right, but it definately helped shape the wonderful woman she is today. Had it not happened, sure, she would still have been a wonderful woman, but things would have been different and she would not be in the same place she is today.

I really feel that life at times seems to "screw us" so to speak. Where you feel like you have really fallen down and being kicked as you lie there. That things just seem to keep piling up and there is no end in sight with everything that you have to deal with. Please know this. You will get through it, you can deal with it, and everything will be alright. Life is full of lessons, its just a matter of getting through them in one piece, learning from it and moving forward.

Here is todays storey of inspiration

I have found with life that fate will take you where you are meant to be. I was born into a family that was unable to care for me, so when I was 5 yrs old I was taken away (along with 2 siblings) and placed for adoption. In a 5 yrs old child, I felt that my life was over. The only thing that I wanted was for my mother to come back and I would pray for it. Now 22 yrs later, I am grateful for the way things turned out. I dealt with some pretty awful demons when I was little, and know that the best thing that ever happened to me was my mother never returning. I know that if she had I wouldn’t be the person I am today, nor would my life take the same steps that it did (honestly I would be lucky to be alive and mentally intacked). I never knew what happened to her, and many years wanted to locate her and ask her why. I finally came upon the realization that no answer would be the one that I would expect so there was no point in wondering anymore. Another example of fate…I met my husband in high school, had a crush on him almost instantly. We had gotten in a fight and didn’t talk for a few years then through friends we started to talk again. A year had passed and we had another disagreement, so we didn’t talk for over 6 months. I moved during this time and my husband had gone through some emotionally challenging things. I had sent him a Christmas card and thought no more about it until he called me out of the blue a month later. We married 4 months later and have been married for almost 8 years. It is amazing how when things are meant to be happen. So, now when I have a bad day or something “bad” happens, I think of my life and know that the reason will become apparent to me someday, and that things are they way that they are fated to be.

Crystal S.
As always, if you have a storey of inspiration that you would like to share, please email cheri22@gmail.com and put in the subject line "inspiration" it can be about anything in life that has happened to you, either trying to concieve or how you overcame something in your life..etc. For any storey that is posted in the blog, I do offer a trade of a prediction bypass (8.00 value) in exchange at no cost:)

Open blog night - What do I see?

I know someone asked this in the comments section from yesterday so figured I would touch base a bit with regards to this question.

When doing readings over email, I do get a sense of who the person is, when I am reading them. I try to focus on only the question at hand as I really feel it to be unfair to "peek" into someones life unless they specifically have asked for a particular area/field. So when working on a trying to concieve prediction or a pregnancy one that is where I put my focus. At times the readings are "hi-jacked" by a loved one who has passed over, and they can be really hard to ignore. Often putting certain things right in the middle of the reading. I can usually tell when something has gone "haywire" and often make sure to include when I feel someone has come through. Otherwise, just the straight reading is put in.

When doing readings, I require the persons first name,. It allows me to better connect myself to the person who is being read. I get bits/feelings of their personality, their looks..etc. And usually pretty close when someone provides me a picture. I can often view a persons surroundings so to speak when doing live readings. Including one I did on Feb 3, when I had a feeling someone else was in the room (which happened that her dh came into the room and then left again) had an idea that her computer room was in the kitchen or living room type set up (rather than computer room or such) etc.. Again, it depends on the person, depends on what is being read on what is being shown.

And no, if your sitting there in your underpants, they are not going to show that! lol.

When doing readings, if someone wants to provide a picture of themselves, or their significant other or children already here, it does provide a bit more information that just going through the vibe I pick up with the information. Its almost like a direct link. So yes, photos help but are not mandatory. You still get indepth information either way.

As for the other question the girl in the comments section asked. When doing readings for someone numerous times can it be done, yes, it can. I can do readings for someone a few times over a year and still have no problems with accessing information for them. Does it get more indepth with each new prediction? No, I would have to say that the same strength of reading is there whether I read for you once, or a hundred times! I really feel that it really depends on the people invovled as well. If the person decides that they are going to be open and allow information to be shared, I feel that their spirit guides aid in helping put information forth, as well as any loved ones, and things flow in alot faster, possible more information. When someone is cautious/guarded/nervous, its a bit different. You can sense the "closure" and information is able to come through, just not as forth coming as someone who has decided to be like an open book.

There are times though after getting to know someone extremely well and becoming friends (like a few of the people who started off as clients) that I find I can no longer gathter information anymore for their questions. Its like walking across an invisible line, where they seem to be "off limits". I can not read my close friends/family as I do for other people. I know "limited' information for them.

If anyone has any questions about what is written here, or something that they would like to learn more about, please feel free to leave a message in the comments section (it allows you to post as anon) or even email to cheri22@gmail.com with "more information required" in the subject line:)

My poor mom and her husband!!!

My mom's husband has been ill for sometime now. Hes the one who helps me with updating my website as he knows all the html codes and such. Well, about 6-8 months ago had to have his gall bladder removed, because it was filled with stones and really causing him alot of pain. After removing it, he did feel a bit better and was able to return to work.

He ended up with a really bad cold, had to go on antibiotics, only to not have it work and still end up sick. So sick again, that he was told by his Dr to not work as it was not getting better. After over 2 weeks of having similar to Brochilitis symptoms, and the antibiotics not working he was again experincing pain in the similar spot to where his gall bladder used to be. He started to think that perhaps a stone had entered into his kidney and was just now acting up. Hes always had a bit of an ache in that spot so was trying to just get through it. Well it got worse. After going to the dr and having his u/s on the 7th of Feb, they determined that he has a TUMOUR on his liver.

My mom thinks that since he has always had this ache (they thought originally it was only because of the gall bladder) that perhaps it wont be anything serious like cancer. She said that shes very upset (wouldn't we all!) and that he goes in for a CT scan tomorrow to get a better look at what is happening in there and what the plan is, and then a referral to the surgeon. So if everyone can keep my mom's husband in their prayers, that its a tumour that turns out to be NOT cancerous I would be grateful! Hes had such a hard time in the last year with health, would be nice for it to be something "easy" and not life threatening. I know my mom, shes going to be holding her breathe until they determine what it is.

In the way that I feel about this, is that its going to be just a growth and not cancerous. I dont feel "doom" or "negative" thoughts about this situation at all, but I also have to admit, that I can't really read my close family and close friends. I find that too much gets in the way, so hoping that the calm that they are showing is a sign.

I also wanted to talk about being positive in other aspects. I guess similar to Feng Shui (I hope I spelled that right! lol). Especially in regards to email addresses and login names. Sounds silly right? Well, for those that have names that are "negative" perhaps you should adopt something new. Something positive, a goal you are trying to achceive. So not "fat sally" if that is what you have, how about "soontobeskinnysally"... or wannabepreggo to soontobepreggo..etc. Have fun!

I really think that this will help add "change" into the universe, not only including positive thinking but laws of attraction as well. You may think that having names similar to what i Have said above, are just for fun and do nothing, okay, perhaps, but what if they do? What if they are somehow affecting you? What if because you have "fat sally" as a login or email address, that your programing yourself to "Accept" that your overwieght when in reality your trying so hard to loose some pounds?

If your unsure that your login name or email address is "negative" and should possibly think of something new, you can either post it in the comments section and I will tell you what i feel, or you can email cheri22@gmail.com and in the subject line put "change of email/login?" and we can go from there!

Tomorrow is "open blog night" so if anyone has a question that they would like to be covered or a specific topic, post it in the comments section and I will try and get it posted for tomorrows post:)

when life hands you lemons, make lemonade

and that I know that at times its really difficult to follow that type of mentality and not let what is currently happening to you to let you down. I know its frustrating and at times seems like a better thing to sit and cry or get mad about a current problem. Those too are good "temporary" things to handle a problem, just as long as you dont give up. Truely, what does not knock you down, will only make you stronger. Everything does happen for a reason, and will lead to why you had to go through something in the first place to be able to acheive the second. Like a ladder...always going up.

Here is a storey that someone submitted, shes had it rough, but keeps trucking through, shes got good strength and courage and will see it through. She wanted to share her storey in the hopes that other people will find it encouraging and inspirational, and I have to agree, that alot of people reading it, might be able to see things in their own life, in a different light.

One kick after another.
My boyfriend of 2 years and I decided that we wanted to move out of our apartment and move into a house. One Friday I took a half-day to go Christmas shopping. I decorated the house and was so excited because Christmas was coming. That evening I got a phone call and it was my boyfriend. He said we needed to talk about us. I said what, he said “I don’t want to be with you any longer I’m not coming home”. It was like a punch in my stomach. After 3 years this is how it ends. A phone call. I’m sitting in a house that now I’m going to have to pay for myself. On my own. I kept telling myself it’d be ok. After about 2 months of getting a handle on paying for everything by myself, I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I could do this, I am doing this. March comes around and I notice down in the basement there is water around the drainpipe where my washer was. I called the plumber after 2 days sewer in my basement and no usage of water, he had some bad news. My sewer line had collapsed. Great, I’m just getting by now paying the bills how much will this cost. $14,000!! I think I cried for 2 days. I had to take out a line of credit and that added an additional $110 dollars a month to my bills. Things were looking bad and I knew I was in danger of going under. I kept telling myself it’d be ok. They told me that they wanted to have the work done as soon as possible. The months kept going on and on. I was stressing out, I just wanted to get it over with. Then comes May. I was actually driving to the car wash to vacuum out my car because I had a date with my new boyfriend and I get into a car accident. Not my fault, but I said to myself NO when is this madness going to stop. Almost $3,000 worth of damage. But I kept telling myself it’d be ok. Insurance fixes my car in June; the plumber fixes my sewer in July. Paying my bills was becoming more and more stressful. I kept dipping into my savings and it was almost gone. My job had just let go of 42 people because of budget reasons. I knew I couldn’t lose my job; I’d lose everything that I worked so hard for. I kept telling myself it’d be ok. I looked for another job, and finally 3 months later accepted a position at an accounting firm. That same week, my new boyfriend of 9 months dumped me. If I were a weaker person I probably wouldn’t have pulled myself together enough to mentally start a new job, but I did. I knew, I knew from what I’ve been through in the last year, nothing could truly hurt me. I’ve been though it all, and I was determined not to let anything stop me. Right now I am more comfortable with paying my bills and have even started putting money back into my savings. Tonight I had to get my roof looked at because the borough that I live in coded me for my roof being in “disrepair”. The estimate for my new roof is $3,700 to $4,800. Yes I cried….but I know I can just have that added on to my line of credit. Which will be more money that I have to pay each month……..which we all know times are bad for everyone right now. I know I can do this, and I will. I believe that I can and when I stop believing is when things start falling apart. I wouldn’t change any of the times that I was kicked when I was down. I believe things happen for a reason. Even though most of the time I can’t find the reason until much later or even at all. All along I thought I needed someone to help pay for my house, I thought I couldn’t do this on my own, but I have. I’ve learned that I can pay for a house and a car own my own without any help. I’ve learned that even if something bad happens to the house, I can pay for that too. I’ve learned that if I got into a car accident and didn’t have my car for a week, I’d be ok, my mom let me use hers, even though she lives an hour away. I know that the roof needs fixed now before there is a leak and more damage is done. These things were all fears of mine, which now I know I can handle. I’ve realized that if I didn’t have the sewer problem with my house I wouldn’t have looked for a new job and I would still be at my old dead end job making less money and in fear of losing my job. I kept telling myself it’d be ok. That line keeps the fight in me alive. I know it’ll be ok because I see the positive in each situation. Not a first, but give me a day I come back swinging. Life hands us some hard times and I see this as a test. A test of how positive of a person you are and how strong of a person you have become. And with each kick you become stronger and stronger and you can handle things that you didn’t imagine that you could. Regardless of what your situation is, if you have a goal in mind and remember each day why you get up, and how you’re are not going to let anyone or anything stand in your way of reaching your goal. Yeah you might have to take 2 steps back, make a left, stop to catch your breath, but don’t ever give up. Just remember it’ll be ok. Don’t let anyone destroy who you are and what you believe.

Positive thinking while trying to conceive

I will probably mention this till I am blue in the face, its always important to remain positive. Even when things seem at thier worst, a positive attitude will see you through.

I have mentioned to countless woman who were seeking my predictions to also incorporate these positive thinking excersies while trying to concieve. I know I have sent numerous people to my blog in search of this for what I talk about. To make it easier, I have added the label "positive thinking excersises" so that anyone can find it at any time.

I have mentioned this before, the first time I started trying to concieve our first daughter, I had tried for a few months, and like everyone else trying to concieve, would be distraught over my period showing up! The month I decided to use my positive thinking excersies, is the same month I got pregnant with my daughter! (who will be 5 in may)

So, when trying to concieve baby number 2, I started right away with these excersies and got pregnant the first cycle! (Due May 28 at this point!)

here are the "instructions". if anyone has any questions about it please reply in the comments section and I will answer your questions:)

POSITIVE THINKING - TIP/TRICKS

After having intercourse (or insemination for some) stay in bed with your hips elevated for 20 minutes. Do not get out of bed until this time. With your eyes closed, I want you to envision the sperm going up and into your urterus, and envision the sperm metting up with your egg, and getting inside. After you have pictured this, say in your mind "this is my month to concieve. I feel relaxed and at peace. I am ready for this baby".. etc. I want you to do this at least three times...

You can do this every time you have sex if you like, but its most important at your approx time for ovulation.your mind is a powerful thing.. you will be amazed at what you will accomplish.

I think that you need to also cut out pictures of babies, and put on your fridge. these are positive goals, ways to set your mind forward.. positive thinking....I know a few other women who have tried this, and had much success as well.

Life is what you make of it....

I would have to say that life and happiness really is about the way you think of things and situations in your life. If you take every little bump in the road and worry about it, obsess about it and get upset, then you will find that you approach alot of things in a negative manner, and things always seems to be "worse" than what they really are. If you approach things as "things could have been worse" and deal with the situation in a more positive manner, you will see that these little "bumps" in the road are just that, little.

I think that its about how you react, and the way you think about it. I had my 23week Dr appt yesterday. I was a bit dissapointed with it. I am RH- (blood type) so this means that at my 26week appt I need a shot of Rhogam. This is to help my body NOT produce antibodies against the baby. This goes if the baby happens to be a positive blood type and our bloods somehow mix. I am not sure of all of the specifics, but without this shot, things can go wrong for both me and baby. My Daughter turned out to be Negative like me, so I did not need the second shot after she was born. To make a long storey short, during my prenatal visit, it was me that had to bring up that I needed this shot, which turns out that I have to goto the local hospital to get it as the city does not allow the drs to do it. Then I had to remind him about the Sugar (Glucose) test around the same time, or he would not have given me the form for that. The only concern was that he said I had some "puss" in my urine sample and wanted to double check that i did not have an UTI. (Urinary tract infection). Before handing me the form to walk downstarts to the lab, he tells me if I do have an infection they will call me, and that i need to remind him that i am allergic to the penicillin family so that he does not prescribe me this for an infection.. would a dr not ask if you have any allergies before actually giving you something?

Then he also tells me that hes planning on joining 5 other Dr's on a delivery rotation. So there is a 1/6 chance that he will be the one who delivers the baby:(. When I first signed up with this DR, he told me that he was NOT joining this, and that he would deliver the baby, which is what I said I wanted. I even was induced with my first daughter because my dr was heading out of town for two weeks and did not want someone else deliverying my baby. So this kinda upset me. I was worried that I would have to spill out my wants/needs to this new dr who is to possibly deliver this baby and meet for the first time. Its a bit out of my comfort zone but what do I do.

I started to view this subject with a bit of anxiety, what do I do, do I switch drs now (I am almost 6 months) do I continue on with the dr I have and hope that he is the one to deliver... even though now, my confidence in him is a bit shaken?

This is when I realized that I am viewing the situation in a negative fashion and not focusing on what good this could bring. Perhaps the DR who delivers this baby is just meant to be, perhaps they will know something the other DR does not, perhaps i will like them better..etc. Trying to think of things positive that can come out of this situation that I was otherwise not planned for.

So what I am saying.. is when you feel that things are not going your way, and that the world is "against" you, how about sit back, refocus and take another look. What can you learn from this? What positive could come out of this? How can you fix it, and be happy with what is to come rather than "fight it" or be negative.

Below I have posted a storey of inspiration from a woman who emailed it to me. Although its not the fairy tale happy ending that we all wish for, this woman has amazing insight and positive thinking and I thought it was fitting to this post:)

See below

A few years ago I was told i would never be a mother. Then in 2006, I started fertitliy treatments.I did get prego.....and was beyond happy. In June , i started to bleed , was told i would lose my son .I told them no , I would not lose him .Because he came from a mom and dad that fought for what they wanted.Everything started to go ok .We left Ft.Lewis WA...and moved to NC.Then on a cold Dec. day i thought i was in early labor.Went to the hospital only to find out my son had done pass away. That day is forever in my heart....the day it broke.I gave birth the the most beautiful child...that was taken way to soon. The reason i say this is a Inspiration story is because, i was told i would never have a child. And I did.Even if i only carry my child in my womb.....I am a mother. My son has change me so much .I know now what it was like to carry a child ...to love someone so much that you have never ever seen ....expect on U/S.And to where I would give my life for him. When i feel down i just rememeber .....that i have the best angle looking over me.He gives me my inspiration....Because He pick me to carry him and to be his mother and show him the love that he need.I always think that someone out there is worst off than i am .I have just been told i wont be able to have any more children....so i have given up hope. But i know i am a mother of atleast one son.

Thanks,tiffany
