no giveaway this week :(

Sorry everyone, but I wont be doing a give away this week. Its going to be a crazy weekend, and tonight I am booked solid with readings. I actually a day or two ahead of the schedule which is a nice change. This weekend is family time...

My eldest actually flew out to Ontario with her grandmother today. Gosh was that ever hard. Shes never been more than 4 days without being near us, and I thought that was hard. Shes been gone since Wednesday night as it was easier to stay at her grandmothers house due to the time of flight they had. So from Wednesday night till LATE Tuesday night she will be gone. I tried so hard not to cry. I actually was able to say goodbye to her in the house, give her lots of hugs and kisses, and walk into the house before I burst into tears. I did not want her to see my crying. I wanted to make sure that she had a good trip and lots of fun. I know shes 6, and a "big girl" but still, it was hard. Gosh, I can only imagine what its going to be like when she moves out of the house! I bet I will bawl! lol.

Not to mention the fact also, I had a DR apt two weeks ago because my period has been MIA. I am still breastfeeding and inquired if it was normal to miss a period. He said its not all that common since I had already gotten my period back and then it disappeared. He asked me to get a blood test. It was not until yesterday I had the time (or motivation) to go and get it done. He told me he would call me if they found anything.....well they called me today. I have an appt on Monday. I always am a bit of a worry wart, but I am feeling calm about this appt. I am thinking its not going to be anything "major" and hopefully whatever it is will be easily explained. So wish me luck!

Anyways, wanted to wish everyone a good weekend. Next Thursday will be back with the giveaways.

Increasing Psychic Abilities With Meditation

I found a really good article online about increasing your psychic awareness using meditation!

taken from http://ezinearticles.com/?Increasing-Psychic-Abilities-With-Meditation&id=78643

We all have psychic abilities. For many people this ability is dormant or asleep. It's a bit like the person who sits at a piano for the first time and discovers that they have a natural talent for music. The ability was always present it just takes the right circumstances for the talent to become apparent.

Most of us have times in our lives when we notice something at work that can be considered psychic. Usually this psychic ability is in the form of intuition, hunches or gut responses that seem to defy reason or logic. These uncanny hunches and sudden insights can sometimes leave us feeling bewildered, but the truth is that they are a perfectly natural ability. And like any other talent, psychic abilities can be trained and perfected.

There are any number of tools and methods available to the psychic any or all of which may help to increase or focus intuitive skills. Most psychics use some form of meditation to enter a frame of mind that heightens intuitive awareness. Some read palms or tea leaves, tarot cards or rune stones or use a crystal ball; some may involve intricate rituals. Regardless of the tools used to assist a psychic reading they each serve to aid the psychic in entering a form of focused meditation which greatly enhances the natural intuitive sense.

Focused meditation provides the frame of mind that is most receptive to intuitive information. Meditation quiets the mind, filters out the noise and chatter of the conscious. This filtering of conscious noise allows the sub-conscious mind to voice its thoughts, as well as enable the mind to tune in to the environment. Some have called this a heightened state of awareness or altered consciousness. The attention is drawn inward with a kind of detached awareness. Developing your ability to enter into this heightened state of mind plays the important role in increasing your intuitive senses.

If you're unfamiliar with the practice of meditation then the following exercise should help to gain a better understanding of the methods used. This exercise focuses on breathing and visualization. Controlled breathing provides an area of immediate connection with the mind and body and also increases the supply of oxygen to the brain.

Begin by finding a comfortable place to perform your meditation. This can be any place of your choosing, provided that you find it comfortable and relaxing. It is not required for you to sit, though you may, if you choose. Many people find it difficult to sit still for any length of time. Standing or even walking slowly is perfectly acceptable for the sake of this exercise.

Focus your attention on your breathing. Notice the air as it enters your body. Try to breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Take slow, deep breaths.

Inhale slowly through your nose and hold the breath in for nine seconds, then exhale slowly for another nine seconds, count out the seconds steadily, not rushed and not sluggish, try to find a pace that feels comfortable, just remember to relax your breathing.

Inhale for nine seconds, exhale for nine seconds, and repeat this process nine times. With every breath, imagine that you are inhaling precious life giving air and exhaling any unwanted energies. After you have repeated this cycle nine times you can begin your visualization. Try to maintain the rhythm of your breathing without counting it out in your head.

At this point you may notice random thoughts popping into your head, simply dismiss them as they enter your mind, let them slip away easily.

Imagine that you are walking across a dry and sandy landscape. The temperature is comfortable, the air is easy to breath and you feel at ease.

As you walk along you notice a shape on the horizon. As you near the shape you see that it is a stone building, a round, stone building with a single door. You are facing the door and now you see that this door is slightly open and a light is coming from inside.

Now, you are standing at the door and decide to push the door open. You open the door and enter the stone building.

Inside you see a round room with a table in the centre. The room is well lit, warm and comfortable. You approach the table and notice a small wooden box, paper and a pen.

You form a question in your mind that you would like answered, an issue that you would like resolved, it does not take you any time to form this question. You write this question on the paper before you and place the paper in the box. You see the box has a lid and you close it.

After a moment you open the box, you see that the question is no longer written there, instead an answer has appeared. You take the answer with you as you leave the building and return to your present space.

You may see immediate results with this exercise or it may take several attempts before the answers found within the box make any sense to you.

Over time this visualization becomes much easier to enter into and you may be tempted to treat this exercise as some sort of oracle. This is not the true intention. Instead what we are trying to accomplish is entering into the receptive mode of meditation that was spoken of earlier. The easier it is to enter into this state the more likely it is that you will become tuned into receiving intuitive information.

Congrats to....

HOPE! You are winner of the blog contest from Thursday! You win the reading with Elisabeth. You will find the link to her blog and email on the lower right of my blog. Contact her and let her know that your the winner of the blog today! She will take care of the rest. Please be patient, with her response as she just had her baby not long ago.

And thanks to everyone from last nights post. Today was certainly alot better. I know I need a step back to check myself before I just say "no" when she asks for things or wants to do something and will try explaining it to her as to why it was a no. This will help us both I think. As not only will it give her the reasoning behind my answer (or a further point to argue with! lol) and will help me realize when I am being reasonable, or when I am being controlling. So thank you everyone for your information as it was all really helpful.

Ask a question, and they will answer....

Things have been going crazy around here.. mostly just "life" and being really busy. Weddings, baby showers, birthday parties!! My eldest daughter just turned 6 on the 16th and tomorrow is her kid birthday party. Shes got 23 kids coming to her party. I know, sucker must be written on my forehead...but I really feel that I have done a good thing. I allowed her to invite EVERYONE from her kindergarten class. At this age, they are just starting to make new friends, learn about being fair, and caring. Well, its already may, and I know most of the kids have probably had their birthdays and I am sure that not everyone has been invited to a party yet. This is where my daughter comes in. I know she has been invited to a birthday party and her friend was not. I remember seeing her friends face realizing that she did not get the party invite. Then later, it was my own daughter who got to watch her friend open up the invite only to realize that her backpack did not contain one. I know, fact of life...however, what if one (or more) of the kids in class have not been asked to even one party this year? That makes me feel bad. So now I know that every kid has been invited to at least one, and hopefully they (as well as my daughter and I) feel good about it. It should be fun. I am even going to paint the kids faces!

Well as I was saying, its been a "crazy" month for me. Not just with the stuff listed, but seems that we have been forking out alot of money for repairs. My van has to go into the shop on Monday for something to do with the ABS brakes. I believe it was Tuesday alone we must have had like 4 things one after another go "wrong". (including our hot water tank) We have been "lucky" (knock on wood) that so far what has gone wrong did not cost us an arm and a leg (we have a good friend who did the water heater for us, and got us an amazing unit at wholesale cost!) but I am getting the feeling that we are being prepared for something. Like something is going to happen that i need to be ready for. Since I can't read myself, I can only guess. Its like its on the tip of my vision, and "know" something is around the corner, but I dont feel "dread" or worry about it, which means its not something that is going to "knock me down" but yet make me more aware. I have emailed Brooke and Elisabeth to answer my question for me (we often consult each other for life questions about ourselves as none of us seem to be able to read ourselves as well as we can read for others) While waiting I decided to draw a card with my Archangel oracle card and I figured I would show you all what it said.

The first card I drew I asked for guidance on what is to come and what I need to do to be prepared. The card I drew was
"Life review"
Take inventory of your life, and resolve to change of heal anything that's unbalanced.

I was not exactly sure how to interpret this, so I read further and this is what it said.

It takes courage to look at your life. yet if done with compassion and a sense of humor, you'll grow and learn from a life review. I'll help you take stock of where you have been. We'll look at what you've learned, and how these lessons are a valuable asset for today and tomorrow. We'll also notice life patterns that' are not serving your highest good and we'll take steps to release those patterns. Take time to be alone and ask Jeremiel to help you review where you have been and what you've learned, what patterns your ready to release and what your grateful for in your life.

So I did just that. I closed my eyes (I am alone right now) and asked the angel Jeremiel to help me find what I needed to review. I saw a few flashes that happened so fast I was not able to interpret them, but then I started thinking of my daughter (eldest) and how we dont always seem to see eye to eye. Now that shes 6, shes trying to be more independent and argues with me a bit more. I ask her politely to do something and at times shes told me no, or just looked at me, as if challenging me to ask her again. It drives me crazy and I always try and be polite, but I certainly dont like to be ignored. its almost like a "control" thing.. (for us both). I knew that I needed to find a way to change this and make it better for us both. Sometimes when she asks for things, I think my automatic reaction is "no" and sometimes I am not even sure why? So after thinking that, I asked the angels for more guidance, to help me on the right path. I pulled another card and got this

"Brilliant Idea"
Yes, your idea is divinely guided.. please take action to bring your idea to fruition...
Your idea is an answered prayer. Even though it may push you past your comfort zone, know that god does not give you anything you can't handle. Ask for and be willing to receive, all of the support that you need to bring the idea to fruition.

So I do believe that they are guiding me to try and work on being less controlling. Not always giving in, but trying different approaches with communications. I know she needs to make her own decisions for her life as a way to learn and grow and can't protect her forever! lol.

I just thought you all might like to hear the experiences with the cards. I am going to be setting up an option on my site if anyone else wants to have a reading or questions answered using cards and intuition/interpretation. its pretty interesting what is shown and answered and how in depth it tends to be. It will also now automatically be included in the mother lode prediction as well.

The first three people who respond to this point with wisdom on how to let go a bit when it comes to a child and not be so controlling, will win a three card spread using the archangel cards.

Sunday will announce the winner from the previous blog contest which is two posts below.

Some dos and don'ts for getting pregnant

I thought that these were pretty funny!

  • Do limit movement after intercourse. Standing up after intercourse can cause the semen to leak out. Try to wait twenty minutes after sex before getting up and moving around.

  • Do try to keep the sperm inside your vagina longer. You can hold the labia together to try to keep the sperm inside of you. You can also try putting a pillow under your pelvis to help tilt your body so the sperm can travel upwards easier.

  • Do try to make sex enjoyable. Sometimes when a couple is trying to conceive it will affect the quality of their sex life. More enjoyable sex means higher sperm count and better "swimmers".

  • Do limit male masturbation prior to the days you are trying to conceive. It will help to increase the man's sperm count and improve your chances of getting pregnant.

  • Do take prenatal vitamins if you are trying to conceive. Folic acid and other vitamins are very important during the first trimester of pregnancy.

  • Don't drink alcohol or use drugs at the time of conception. This applies to both the male and female. There is strong evidence that alcohol can effect your chances of getting pregnant.

  • Don't douche after having intercourse. It can wash out the sperm that has just entered your body.

  • Don't have oral sex prior to intercourse. There is some evidence that the bacteria in the mouth can cause damage to male sperm.

  • Don't have anal sex prior to intercourse. Bacteria in the anas can be carried into the vagina from the man's penis. If you do have anal sex before intercourse, make sure your partner washes his penis first.

Thursday giveaway.. might be tricky but its FUN!

I thought I would do another reading giveaway that requires your psychic awareness and allow you to practice with your gift. I actually located this site by accident, and found it really cool. I tried it twice tonight. I am going to paste the information and want you guys to all try what it says and then in the comments section, I want you to tell me your experience. Whether it worked for you or not and how it made you feel after you found your results. This giveaway is for a reading with ELISABETH!

It's important to note that not everyone is visual by nature. There are three main modes of perceiving: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Those who are visual learn best by seeing, and think with pictures in their minds. Those who are auditory learn best by hearing, and "talk" to themselves more in their minds. Those who are kinesthetic learn best by doing, and tend to get "gut" feelings and to process experiences physically through movement or attention to their physical sensations. Just as we all have five physical senses, we all perceive through all three modalities, but most of us have a primary or favored way of perceiving life.

As this article focuses on "visions," we're going to be working with visual perception. We can begin to "flex" our inner vision through some basic exercises. We'll begin by better seeing in our minds something in our physical experience. Pick a simple object like an orange, apple, banana, or even a book, a shoe, etc... Look around and grab something that "catches your eye." Now sit in front of the object and study it for a moment. Study its features, but then "step back" and just take it in as a whole. Now close your eyes and try to reproduce it mentally. Study it again, and then repeat the process of envisioning it within. Your inner vision should get crisper.

Now close your eyes and simply envision color. Begin with red, and work your way up the color spectrum. See a splash of pure red, then imagine two or three objects that are red, then go back to seeing only the color. Then move to orange, then yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Take your time and try to move toward a sense of ease as you visualize the colors and objects.

Now we're going to advance our inner vision skills by picturing someone we're presently close to. If you have children, you might pick your child's beloved face, but you can choose anyone you see on a daily basis, as long as it's someone whose face you know well. Close your eyes and try to recreate his or her visage in your mind. Spend as long as it takes until you get a crisp image. You'll find it easier if you try to remember a specific experience and picture that person as you saw them then.

Now pick a person in your mind who you were once very close to, but whom you haven't seen for several years. Again, pick someone whose face you once knew very well, and try to recreate his or her image in your mind. You're likely to find yourself in a memory to do this, and that is fine. Get a very crisp image, and then choose someone you've not seen since childhood, and again recreate a clear image in your mind of this person's face.

Now choose a person you're presently close to but who is at some distance from you. It may be your mother in a nearby city, a child at school, or even your sweetheart at work. Hold a vision of his or her face a moment, and then say to yourself, "Spirit, show me what they're doing." Then trust whatever pops into your mind. Remember that you're playing, experimenting and exercising here. Pay attention to what pops in, versus what your rational mind may reason out. For example, I just said, "Spirit, show me what my mother is doing," and I saw her reading in her bed. I then looked at the clock and thought it was too early for her to be in bed yet. There may be a tendency for you to want to guess first, and base what you see on that. Try to just allow images to pop up, and don't analyze them for now.

Now for me, I did this, I pictured my mother, she is about an hour drive from me. I saw her face (I am extremely visual) and then saw her immediately sitting in front of her computer. I can even tell you which way she was facing:) then I called her and asked her if she was sitting in front of her computer and she said yes. I told her about the site I was reading and wanted to try it, and so I called her to see if she was where I saw her to be. Figuring it could be a coincidence, I figured I would try with my sister. Again, I saw her face, and immediately I was seeing her sitting on the couch, her husband on her left, and she was facing the tv but was reading a book. So I called her and asked her if she was, and yes, she had been (she put the book down to answer the phone!)

So give it a try and post your experiences! Hopefully everyone had as much fun as I did! Everyone who enters is put into the draw. I will announced the winner on SUNDAY.

Here is the direct link to the fertility charms

http://iamcheri22.blogspot.com/2009/03/fertility-charms-have-arrived.html

In case anyone else was interested in finding out more information about what it is. I know someone mentioned it was not as easy as I had thought to locate the original post. So to make it easy, here is the link!

Also, another one of my clients washed their fertility charm by accident. In case this happens to anyone else (meaning through the laundry cycle) please do this first!

You will need to keep the fertility goddess charm on you for 24 hours! This means carrying it around in your pocket, in your bra or on a necklace..etc. You will need to during this time, use the enchantment I send with the fertility charm three times while holding it. This will re-familiarize the charm to you. This is important. Should you (or your husband! Lol) accidentally wash it, it will not be as effective UNLESS you do the above:)

if you have any questions, please email me - as usual cheri22@gmail.com with FERTILITY CHARM in the subject line. This will help me locate the email faster.

Fertility Charm and a Storey to inspire

As most of you know, I was offering a fertility goddess charm to help with conceiving. (see under labels lower right side of blog if you have no idea what I am talking about)

Anyways, one of my clients who purchased one shared her storey with me, and said that I could post it on the blog for others to read it and see what has happened to her so far since she begun using her charm.

(First email May 14)
Cheri:
I just wanted to e-mail you with a little story about my charm.
I have been reading the paragraph and holding the charm a few times a week asking for a dream or a sign and on Palm Sunday a few weeks ago we sat down in church and in front of us sat a woman with a baby in a carriage-- she called him Jude-- and it wasn't until a few weeks later that I realized that this might be my sign--- when I found out about my PCOS I picked a saint to pray to and I picked St. Jude- patron saint of all that's impossible... maybe it's a coincidence or maybe a sign :)

(Second email May 18)
Cheri:
I just had to tell you this... My husband and I went to church yesterday (same one where I saw the baby named Jude) and while doing the prayer of the faithful the priest said and silent intentions which I guess is the part where you ask for something you want... and as he said this I looked to the back of the church and there on the wall said 6 names of saints and St. Jude was one of them... I cried... I couldn't help it. Here I am questioning my 1st sign and here's a second. This is really something strange... I've never been the one to look for signs but I think they are really out there.

Thank you for your time. Have a great week.

So if anyone else is interested in a fertility charm, or wanting more information, please email cheri22@gmail.com and put FERTILITY CHARM in the subject line. I do still have a few left.

So as you can see, your guides always have a way of trying to get in contact. Sometimes the clues are subtle, sometimes right in your face that you can't ignore. Sometimes when you second guess what your shown and toss it off as a coincidence, they will show you the same sign again and its hard to ignore!

This was one busy weekend!!

It all started with Saturday being my cousins wedding. It was short, sweet and simple. The ceremony lasted perhaps 10-15 minutes max, which was just enough to bribe both my eldest and youngest with a sucker to keep the occupied and not talking or making too much noise. We had a few hours to kill in between and headed home for about 45 minutes. Then it was off the ceremony. Again, not too bad, all the speeches were funny, did not take too long and no one seemed to mind that the baby was busy walking for the door every chance she got (with myself or hubby close behind) We danced for a bit which my eldest just loved, and the baby was in my arms. It was 9:30pm when the baby just kept heading for the door and waving bye bye. She had obviously had enough. It was then I suggested we head home. Baby is usually like clockwork. She is bathed around 7pm, nursed and then shes asleep by 7:30pm at the latest. So considering how late it was she was out and about, she did really well. (tonight was another storey! Those late naps are killer!)

Then Sunday night, was my eldest 6th birthday party, and the babies 1st birthday party. It was family only. We are doing the 6th birthday party for her friends on Sunday the 24th. So that turned into an all day thing. I had originally mentioned that everyone should come around 3pm for a BBQ, but my sister and her two boys showed up at 10am for the day/night and then my dad and his wife showed up at 11:00am for a few hours. Its alright by me, but certainly makes for a long day!

We all had fun, and got some pictures of them blowing out the candles on the cake. I had one cake for my eldest, and one cake for the baby. I even late the baby grab it thinking that she would put it in her mouth.. Nope, she does not really like her hands dirty so she started flinging the icing around... So no cake for baby!

So I have not really had a chance to come online and answer emails or even schedule anything so my apologies, this weekend was busy!

The winner for Lyuda's reading is MISSY! Congrats to you on winning the reading and thanks so much to everyone for your entries! I loved to read them all. Missy, please email me at cheri22@gmail.com and put in BLOG WINNER in the subject line. I will forward your email to Lyuda.

Sometimes life lessons can delay your bfp....

I know that we all expect to just start trying to conceive and then WHAM we are pregnant! Wouldn't that just be lovely! The fact of the matter is, that its not always so easy to conceive. So what happens when you have been trying for awhile and the DR's are having a hard time trying to figure out the cause? Perhaps for some cases its more about a life lesson that is getting in the way and needs to be solved. For those of you who have been trying to conceive for a long time, perhaps look at what is happening in your life. Is there something that continues to get in the way and causes a bit of havoc in your life that you have been putting on hold because you are TTC?

For my one client, this was exactly the case. She had been trying for YEARS to have a baby. And her life lesson? That she was with the wrong person! Here is her storey. (she wishes to remain anon)

Over the four years i tried natural methods such as herbs (black cohosh, agnus castus), soy isoflavones, Femara, Laparoscopy and Ovarian drilling last year. I didn't get one BFP.
(The next part you may want to leave out... as you know my 8-year relationship ended in nov due to him not wanting kids anymore... then i met the man of my dreams and well i guess things def happen for a reason...i have never been happier. I emailed you and let you know about this situation telling you that we were not ttc but it was something to consider in the future, you emailed me back saying he was def the right man for me :) )
Anyway.,...Ironically, In the end i ended up getting preg on Yasmin!!!! because i was taking anti-biotics and they must have interacted!! Crazy huh?? i reckon my story will give these women lots of hope..because it really can happen when you least expect it...this all has shown me that in any future struggles i will know that god has a plan for us all and what we want at the time may not be for the greater good and to have faith that things will happen when they are meant to.
I really couldn't be happier in my life now...all my dreams are coming true.
Thank you for you kindness and support cheri,
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!
xoxox

So I am NOT saying that if you have not conceived yet its because of the wrong man, for everybody the situation can be different. I am just saying, perhaps see if there is a life lesson getting in the way, "screaming" to be solved. Perhaps once you move forward, the bfp will happen just as quick:)

I got to see him!!! I got to hold him!!!

My sister decided to stop by on Sunday to show me the baby! I had already canceled on coming into the city as I was sick and did not want to get her or baby sick, but she said that she talked to her mid-wife who said as long as I did not sneeze/cough on the baby and made sure to wash my hands it should be okay. So I left it up to her, but she was fine with it.

We all decided to goto a place about 30 min drive from my house and ride our atvs (I have a smaller one that is perfect for me and my eldest to ride together) and my sister and her family just bought one. So we spent mothers day out and about and just having fun. I still felt like crap but had a good time. We came back to our house to have dinner (my husband makes a mean ribs!) and I held baby again! My husband looks at me, then says "does this mean you want another one?" I kinda laughed and said NO!. For me, I am done. I have two beautiful little girls and I feel complete. Which is a good thing as he is scheduled for an appt with the dr to go over getting a vasectomy done!

My husband was great for mothers day. He folded the laundry and put it away, he made dinner and bought me flowers from the girls. I told him it was the best mothers day ever for me. I guess I am easy to please.

This Month is a busy one for me. My eldest turns 6 on the 16th and my "baby' turns 1 on the 26th. So we have family parties, birthday parties and a wedding this month!!!

Onto reading news, I am now fully caught back up to the current schedule. I had gotten slightly behind due to racing out to the hospital in the hopes of seeing baby. I am now no longer behind and that makes me feel good!

For the winners of the Sunday post, I mentioned that the first five people to post in the comments section would win, and we have five posters! So please, email cheri22@gmail.com and put in "BLOG WINNER" in the subject line so I can locate your email easier. Congrats!

Hope everyone had a good mothers day!

Sunday, May 10, 2009

The winner (and other stuff! lol) Includes Mother day special information

you guys were all so good with your guesses. I myself would have guessed him to be around 6lbs 5oz if she had gone to term with him, but with him being 3weeks early, he arrived a healthy 5lbs 11oz. I have yet to see him as apparently its my turn to have a cold. (seems the norm with me lately!) We were supposed to be able to get everyone together for lunch for mothers day, but I had to dis-invite myself because of being sick :(

here is a picture of the latest addition to our "clan"

Now for the winner, there were a few girls really close, but JACKIE has won with her guess of 6lbs 1oz as it was the closest to the actual weight. Congrats to you! please contact Brooke777 and let her know that you are the winner of the blog contest this week. Her link is located on the bottom right of my blog:)

Now as I mentioned for the mothers day special on SUNDAY MAY 10th ONLY All readings are going to be 20% off. I tried to figure out a way to add a button to this post so that you could click it but after trying for at least 30 minutes with a few different options I gave up! So rather than having to ask my mom's husband to try and change the prices just for one day, I just created an angelfire free site to hold the specials for the day. So just follow this link (link has been removed) and on there the prices have already been discounted by 20%. Now please note, these are effective for this day only. Sometime on Monday I will be deleting the link on this blog, as well as "deleting" the site with the discounted prices. If you have any problems with accessing the site posted or its not working for you, please email me and let me know and I will help you work it out.

Happy Mothers day to those of you with children already and happy soon to be mothers day for those of you currently pregnant or trying to conceive!

A Wish For A New Baby (Poem)

I found this poem online and thought it was very nice! Thought I would share!

A Wish For A New Baby

I wished upon a star...
I closed my eyes and prayed,
I threw a shiny penny,
into a well each day.

The same little wish was wished,
upon my birthday cake
I asked the Lord... Please hurry,
just for heaven's sake!

I was trying to be patient,
but I had waited long enough
my wishing well with pennies,
was now completely stuffed!

I would start and end my days
repeating the same prayer,
I knew that up in heaven,
they could see I really cared.

Just when I thought I couldn't,
bear another day
it is then that I learned,
you were on your way.

All the prayers and wishes,
finally did come true
The blessing God gave me,
was my pregnancy with you!

Its a BOY!!

I got a phone call from my sister last night at 6:30pm. Her original due date is not until the 25th and had a scheduled C-section for the 18th. She called to say that her labor had started (the midwife started it by checking her out due to back pains) and that they had scheduled her for a c-section for 7:30pm. I figured I could pick up my daughter from her night activity (it ends at 7:30pm) have the baby in the bed so that my husband could be home with her should she wake up, drive one hour to where my sister is having her baby and see the baby and be back in time to do my readings last night and have my daughter in bed at a decent time. Did I mention that nothing last night went as I planned? lol.

I picked my daughter up, and we raced there. It took us just over an hour because of the rain. We got there to find out that she had been BUMPED! They had to do an emergency c-section on another lady so understandable she got moved to the next spot. So we waited, and waited.. it was now 9:45pm. I had to make sure that I was back by 11pm at the latest as this is when the baby usually wakes up for her night time feed. So unfortunately I was not able to wait for the baby and for my sister to go in for her c-section :( I told her I just knew they would take her in as soon as I left (Murphy's law) and if I had brought the baby with us, I could have stayed. (Shes got a cold so was better to leave her with daddy asleep)

So we drove home. I pulled in the drive way and my husband met us at the door with the baby who happened to have woken up 5 minutes before. I finally got her to bed at 11:15pm and then it was time for me to head to bed. For those of you who were scheduled last night for a reading to be completed I AM SO SORRY!!! I will have your readings completed today and hopefully be able to complete the ones that were scheduled for tonight as well.

Today is the give way day as well, so I want you guys to guess the baby weight of my new little nephew (pictures to come later as they texted me them rather than emailed!) The person who is closest wins a free reading with Brooke777! Winner to be announced on Sunday in order to have enough time for people to enter. Dont forget to check back on Sunday when the mothers day special is posted as well.!

May Special of the month announced!

on mothers day, I am allowing anyone who purchases a reading to have a discount of 20%. This will be available ONLY during that day. I am trying to find a way to make a "coupon" you can enter during mothers day so that it takes the 20%.

I will also award FIVE lucky people with a prediction bypass reading (10.00 value) I will post on Sunday announcing the winner for the Thursday draw as well as the code (or instructions to take advantage of the mothers day option) and the first 5 people to respond to the post and leave a comment will win!

Had a busy weekend

We decided to do a family outing this weekend and went camping. The baby does NOT like being on the ground as she does NOT want to get her hands dirty. We have tried grass, nope wont crawl, we tried the dirt, nope.. wont move. Just holds her hands up almost in the air to keep it as far from the ground as possible. I do think she can walk, but prefers to hold your hands (even if its just one) so it was a BUSY weekend!

Not to mention she was sick Friday and Saturday with a bit of a fever, so I don't blame her for also being mommy's girl!

We got back today, and I am already on the computer. Have not unloaded the trailer or anything yet. I have already been in to reply to emails and get that started as well as schedule more readings.

I have not heard back from Elisabeth, so wondering if she required a c-section and is still in the hospital with her little one. Can't wait for the update and will let you all know.

I will announce the May special of the month tomorrow. This Thursday is also going to be back on track with the reading give aways.
